Well... Here I thought I was tall enough to ride this roller coaster but I was not.
I swear to God....
It's going to be another officer, not Ben. The story will be about "it could have been, wasn't, this time", and several pages of tension, before the reveal that Ben couldn't respond due to the crisis. This storyline could also explore the trope of whether the partner (Lucas) could live with the knowledge that Ben could die while they are together. It could start discussions if and why they should stay together or not. Sometimes the pain is too great to bear, right?
Yeah with an arc called "breaking up," my prediction is there are a LOT of stressors in the Ben/Lucas relationship that would test even emotionally healthy people: is Lucas coming to a work event going to out him as D-Pad (Ben figured it out and Lucas and Ethan DO coordinate with the police on occasion, and while the cops are gruff about it, they've conducted themselves exceptionally well the three times it came up, capturing the Troll all three times). Or Lucas could be nervous about Ben putting himself on the line. Or Ben could be nervous about doing his job BECAUSE he's nervous about how it'll affect Lucas if he gets killed.

Unrelated, and I know it's not the same Scott as in CAD v1.0, but it's weird seeing him use Windows instead of Linux.
Could be dual boot. Thats usually more stable than using WINE.

Why do these always get posted on a Friday?????? I need to know what happens. Tim, you are causing me mental anguish right now! All (mostly) kidding aside, I think Nicole is innocent of this one. She was busy posting fake coupons and possibly breaking the stores windows for this to be her. I am betting Lucas goes full aggro though, if it is Ben, and goes after Nicole and ends up revealing their identities to her.
