Wow, this one's a throwback not only to "Fuck You, It's ..." but also to a phase where Red Letter Media videos featured a sublime psychological terror that went on in the background. Like in one Half in the Bag where you see a vase on a flimsy stand in the background and the whole runtime you wonder when the vase will slide off the stand and break. That never happens, but in the following episode of Half in the Bag Mike grabs a baseball bat and smashes the vase into pieces. "Least loved content creators" (from the previous announcement on Patreon) is a reference to "The Grabowskis, the least loved sitcom on the internet." This one's also slightly Lynchian. It's like Mike's at the same time in the studio and in the hardware store in The Hardware Store. And that's the kind of psychological effect I have missed for a long time in Red Letter Media videos. It's the kind of stuff that made me fall in love with Red Letter Media productions and made me want to know more about film. It's this mix of clever dark humor and insanity that I've enjoyed my whole life, it turns on my mind and it makes me laugh.
