Need an update on IT: Welcome to Derry post snail eyeball scene!!! 🤢 Loved getting another mini review of the Muschietti movies in this video, I enjoyed both but totally understand the massive problems with chapter two haha. Really impressed with the show so far - esp the research they've done on Mi'kmaq textiles & culture, did not expect that at all and it was a really nice surprise. And I only had a small panic attack watching the band saw part.

They should make a movie about the real life events of The Axe Murder House, where a fraudulent group of paranormal investigators from YouTube find real ghosts and even demons.

I'm watching Match right now on Tubi...I really enjoyed some of her other films, Level 16, The Banana Splits movie, and especially her remake of Slumber Party Massacre....I had no idea this film existed, so thanks!

I live in Los Angeles and had a hard time even finding a Frankenstein screening, they were so limited and sold out so fast. I ended up seeing it at a theater where waiters bring people meals during the screening. The whole theater smelled like burgers as I watched a man chop body parts off of corpses.

Some of those reviews remind me of the Howards Stern review of that Donald Farmer movie. "Good job! Congratulations!"

Related to your Strangers discussion, the Fear Street trilogy was three films shot back-to-back that were supposed to be released monthly as a big horror event. But then Covid hit and then they got dumped on Netflix, each released one week apart

And for anyone asking if they were going to do a 'Predator Badlands' HITB... They didn't even MENTION it! lol

To be honest, horror movies not doing so well in October this year isn't that surprising to me. Since we're getting horror movies the entire year now they kind of lost their impact during halloween time. We've reached the point of oversaturation like we did with Marvel movies.

I watched Chris Stuckmann reviews since back before I discovered RLM. As a fellow sarcastic douchebag, I have certain admiration for that unironic midwestern sincerity he projects. I felt bad when you briefly dissed him back in the day. He seemed genuinely bummed as an RLM fan himself. I wouldn't be surprised if he put gho-oosts in his flick just so Mike would watch it. Now that Jeremy Jahns guy... he's difficult to take.

R
RedLetterMedia · November 13, 2025

At least he keeps it brief! After skipping his Sponsored Ad Read, most of the reviews are less than 5 minutes long. ;)

i didn’t feel that way about the pete davidson movie or other because i didn’t know they existed.

From what I heard on the internet, Chris Stuckmann started to make these sort of encouraging non-reviews of movies the moment he rebranded himself as a filmmaker. Like it is something bad to be critical of other filmmakers' works simply because you're a filmmaker yourself. And Stuckmann got called out for this change. As for Shelby Oaks, I heard that the movie could have been good, if Stuckmann hadn't written it, as nothing really makes sense in that movie writing-wise. But aside from that it is technically good.

I feel bad for Jay... It sucks when you go to the bar and get OVER-SERVED, and then turn into a rambling mess for the whole night!

I'm glad I can tell my youtuber friends to ignore the film critic response to their feature film since those critics should have been happy someone made a movie :) actually they still need one more review to even get a rotten tomato score. Curious if RLM has any insight into the world of a movie getting coverage after being produced how it makes it to even be on a tubi after the film festival stretch. why does the world care about shelby oaks versus those movies that are pretty good that no one has heard of. plenty of people can claim the youtuber turned film maker gimmick.

I know who chris stuckmann is, but until this video I never even heard of this Shelly Oats movie, like at all.

Jay couldn’t watch Shelby Oaks because he was too busy watching Black Devil Doll From Hell for the 10th time.

Thank you for the discussion revolving around Shelby Oaks. It's an important distinction. Support good movies, and I say this as a horror geek.

"Original movie made by YouTuber!" Curry Barker made a movie titled "Milk & Serial" last year. The Budget was 800$. The runtime is 62 minutes. He put it on his YouTube channel for free. It is fucking amazing. Go watch that one...!

R
RedLetterMedia · November 12, 2025

And 'The Critical Drinker' CrowdFunded a short (45min) film based on a character from the series of novels he's written... It was horrible, and oddly included many of the tropes he complains about, like a tiny woman holding her own in a fist fight with a large 6' Military dude. lol
