Aww hi Ali! 👋☺️.. love this one, I always want to have a day like this on the beach on a sunny bank holiday but I don't live near the seaside.. they looked like they had so much fun filming this 🥰
Hi Jess and Mike. I am a new family member of RNTV. Just wanted to say Hello to you and a big Hi to Alison x
I CAN'T WAIT for you guys to get to the 2024 finale. It's so great!

Happy Halloween 🎃🍬 👻 Mike & Jess,🧟♀️🧟 Mike, thankyou for being such a great role model sometimes I feel like your my parents I watch so many shows with you guys lol I actually dont have any parents i was put into care when i was 6, Thank you for all that you do for us. I cant wait to see whats on for Christmas season 🎄🎅🧑🎄
Extra vote for Derrys girls next!
Hey Mike, I think you may have seen Doris (Margaret John) before. She was in Game of Thrones. And Mick (Larry Lamb) is a great role model to aspire too.
Mike, can’t believe you’ve never seen a James Bond movie! If you ever decide to do a movie night sometime in the future, please consider doing Bond. There’s 25 films and 6 actors who have played Bond, and I think you and Jess would like watching them. Margaret John who played Doris, had been acting since the late 1950s, and guest starred in Coronation Street (still the UK’s longest running soap opera since 1960). Margaret had also guest starred in classic Doctor Who, Last of the Summer Wine, Blake’s 7, Crossroads, Lovejoy, My Family, Little Britain, Being Human and Game of Thrones, before she sadly succumbed to pneumonia and passed away in 2011, at the age of 84.
Next week sees a cameo from a well known UK figure proving Nessa's crazy stories of her past are actually real.
Please consider watching 'The Worst Week of my Life' Alison Steadman who plays Pamela is in it and Ben Miller who plays the lead is so funny.
Slightly off topic, (love your reactions btw) but have you guys considered watching Doctor Who as one of your weekly reactions when G+S Peep Show etc finishes off ? Don't know about anyone else but growing up in the mid 2000's through to the 2010's Saturday nights watching Doctor Who was a religion for a lot of the UK. I genuinely couldn't recommend a series more. Keep up the great work guys 💜
I think this channel is more about comedies than anything else really. As much as I love DW, I don't think it fits
I've always wondered if Nessa saying "mother" by mistake was scripted or Ruth flubbing it and them keeping it in, it's super funny either way
Pro tip for beach visitors, a plastic bag on your foot/hand makes putting on a wetsuit take 60 seconds.
Regardless of people's thoughts of Corden he gave us this programme and who are we to criticise him and believe what media say about him?
25 🐾 🐾🐾🐾☹️
There are loads of clips on YouTube of Mick (Larry Lamb) and his real-life son George, a TV presenter, doing bits of TV together. They have a great relationship.
Please do daily of gavin and stacey, even then i wouldnt struggle to wait!! im watching it for the first time with you guys <3
Only one left (kind of). I haven’t seen the last ever episode. I watched the first special return Christmas episode when it aired and didn’t click with it unfortunately. I didn’t want to ruin my love for the show by watching the final Christmas special but I think it’s time to now with you both!
You'll not be disappointed
Apparently Glenda is the woman who owns Gwen’s house in real life. Nice way to make a nod to her
Mike , you saying that you would like mick to be you dad is relatable but to make it weird im 50 and lost my dad when he was 74 but you kinda look like him and have his mannerisms 😂 so as much as i enjoy watching you both react theres a familiarity like at times i see my younger dad also he was a del boy so watching ofah and you reacting is kinda funny ... so yeah i made it weird 😂
As a Stepdad myself I am very conflicted when it comes to the Dave stuff. Your spoiler free friend, Daz Coaches
1. Nessa cheated. He has every right to be angry but also every right to forgive her. 2. Smithy isn't a voluntarily absent father, he tries. Dave should respect his place, it's honourable for him to provide for Neil the baby but there's a line that shouldn't be crossed Simples!
Anyone know what's replacing taskmaster tomorrow?
No idea yet. It’ll be a nice surprise 😊
Not sure if it was an intentional joke but that Fantasyland bit at the end really got me, knowing what Fantasyland in Tampa is haha
Mike, when Dorris says "I'm joking, mun" the "mun" is a very Welsh thing that we will often tag on to the end of a sentence. It's a bit like "mate" 🏴
Liking how my hometown Newport gets a shout out in this episode 🏴
What happened at the end there? You edited out the end discussion? It cuts off mid sentence.
It didn’t cut off for me 🤷🏻♀️
When Doris adds 'mun' at the end of a sentence it's not a Jamaican impression, it's common in Wales to add it to the end of things instead of saying 'man'. In the Caribbean their 'man' is more elongated where in Wales it's short and abrupt.
I can't believe we only have 3 eps left!
Did they spell Loose wrong on the Osama poster? 😂 I'm making assumptions about the sentence, I know.
I just love the fact that they are singing Morrissey lyrics whilst having a barbecue 🤣
Mick is 2nd only to Sandy Cohen from The OC when it comes to TV dads imo
Benidorm feels like a natural progression for Gavin & Stacey once it finishes.
I completely judged that show for some reason and never watched a single second of it. Yet still hear people suggesting it so maybe I should give it a go myself.
Frankie Boyle once joked that Welsh sounds like a language that was invented by a dad losing at Scrabble. As someone whose family lives in Wales, I can subscribe to that... xD
Jess pretending she heard elders convention to spare Mike's feelings, she's a real one.
I briefly had a girlfriend around 2010-2011 who had a crush on Larry Lamb (who plays Mick), even though there was about 40 years between them. Then we watched Gavin and Stacey together (she'd already seen it) and I realised that the person she really had a crush on was Mick. He was the father figure she never had.
I was about 19 when Gavin and Stacey came out and I fancied Larry lamb from the beginning- still do 😂😂
I don't know if your aware, but if you ever come to the UK, you can actually go to Barry Island and do a Gavin and Stacey tour, and the owner of Gwen's house has been known to let people in to look around and sign her guest book 😊
Fresh meat was written by the same peep show writers and has Simon from the Inbetweeners, Jack Whitehall who is a fairly big comedian over here and lots of guest stars. Reminds me of this as it's mainly funny, but has good drama and great writing and acting.
Mike and Jess if you are stuck for what to watch I can recommend Bottom with Richie and Eddie,Derry Girls,Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em,Are You Being Served,Mind Your language,Open All Hours (another chance for Mike and Jess to see David Jason (Del Boy),Porridge,The Two Ronnies,Till Death Do Us Part,George And Mildred,A Fine Romance,‘Allo ‘Allo,Steptoe And Son,Keeping Up Appearances,Rising Damp,Birds Of A Feather,Rab C Nesbitt,Love Thy Neighbor,Last of the Summer Wine and Benny Hill Show, there are much more but i think those listed here are winners for most UK viewers.
I’ve never seen 15 recommendations in such a small space. Very efficient post.
“I’ll have an Irn-Bru” “What if they haven’t got Irn-Bru?” “Go somewhere that has” My partner and I quote this all the time when we need any form of groceries in 🤣🤣🤣
Us Welsh have a habit of sticking too many words in a sentence. Examples being 'Whose coat is that jacket' and 'I'll be there now in a minute'
Like when you've got to write a certain amount of words for an essay so you add unnecessary words to get closer haha
Pam is not wrong- The island in winter is bleak 😄
Ooooh-bama, ooooh-sama. Two very different men with very different ideas. 🤣
Margaret John (Doris) died in 2011. RIP Margaret. It was a shame she couldn't be in the last two episodes, Doris is a great character.
RIP Margaret John ❤️
Mike, I love your view that you want to learn from Mick - he's a great dad and a great man!
Feels like only yesterday we were starting this series, now we’re just one episode from the (original) series finale 😵
I can confirm that that beach is lovely, and that Barry Island is also a bleak step back in time when the weather is shite.
To be fair, the island's pretty much bleak even when the sun's out!
"Who was running for president?"....cracked me up! Also...Hi Alison, hope you enjoy Halloween!
She's Old Nan if you're playing game of thrones bingo. Watches Bran and tells him scary stories after the "fall"
Daniel Craig Bond films when?
Tue first one with him in the sea? 2006 I think
So South Walian here. There’s an annual elvish convention typically in Porthcawl! Never been but it’s just essentially hundreds of people dressed like Elvis in the same place
Elvis not LOTR
When will you reveal if PEOPLE JUST DO NOTHING is the show to fill the PEEP SHOW slot? 😁
Great show, but they wouldn't like it. It'd be scrapped after 2 or 3 episodes
Maybe I need to get a life, but I’ve been looking forward to this all week!
Me too, it's the little things in life michael
Tidy👍
Might be my favourite episode🩵
Doris in particular at her absolute funniest in this one 🤣
Woooo
Good morning!
