I honestly think you guys should react to Miranda. If you love all the slapstick and just generally British comedy then I think you two would genuinely love Miranda!!!
Will you guys be watching a fond farewell?
Brilliant film ‘oooooooh they’re a right couple a’belters aren’t they ‘
Wonder why uncle byrn wasn't in the curry scene ?
I do feel sorry for Dave because he genuinely is a nice guy lol
Are you thinking about my bhunas?
Lol love that you spent 2 minutes talking about what the message was about whenever it was just Smithy texting them to say he's woken up in bed with Nessa xD
Smithy texted Gavin to tell him he was in bed with Nessa, that's all it was! My Indian order is a king prawn Balti, pilau rice, saag aloo, naan (often with poppadom's to start).. the best takeaway imo!
cant say ive ever tried a saag aloo but this is also my exact order - especially with a garlic naan - youre spot on
Im heading off now in a minute lmao
The golf hat is ironic as it says "Peter Sutcliffe loves golf " and you can't see the club and Peter Sutcliffe was the Yorkshire ripper , I don't know if that was meant.
You should find an Indian restaurant, post the menu on here, and let us choose the order.
There's a behind the scenes bit of the conga line going back into the house. The director and all the crew joined in having a great time. Shows the atmosphere on the shoot.
If you thought that was a cliff hanger….. you haven’t seen anything yet!!!!
Indian food in the UK is massive. Here's the basics! (P.s. Nessa's is obviously a total curveball that no-one's heard of before) Currys: Korma Tikka Masala Balti Bhuna Passanda Dopiaza Jalfrezi Rogan Josh Madras Vindaloo Sides: Pilau rice Bhaji Samosa Bombay potatoes Naan bread Roti Poppadom Raita Mango chutney
You forgot Saag Aloo 😉
Don't want you waiting a week for a cliffhanger reveal that won't come because it wasn't a cliffhanger 😂 Smithy text Gavin saying he slept with Nessa. Gavin showed Stacey. Stacey Text Nessa. Nessa looked over to see Smithy holding his phone having just sent the text looking ashamed. having
Smithys Indian order is like part of uk culture, the amount of times people reference it 😂😂
Brilliant! Next one please!!!
On BBC News website today - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckjrw4xvvglgo "Gavin and Stacey co-creators Ruth Jones and James Corden have revealed details about their new TV comedy drama series The Choir. The eight-episode show will air on Apple TV and feature guest appearances by Ted Lasso's Hannah Waddingham, X-Men's James McAvoy and Harry Potter's Jim Broadbent...... .....Jones and Corden are executive producers for the series, which is now in production and set to air in 2027....."
The dish Nessa ordered didn't actually exist but after the op a few restaurants in wales started serving it as it sounded nice
I used to work answering questions for AQA, made about £300 in a whole year 😂
Justice 4 dave
Chicken korma is a child's curry, 0 spice and pretty bland. If there are men watching you order, your only choice is the vindaloo. It'll be hot as hell and you will regret it but the menfolk will respect the attempt. Indian restaurants also have a secret item called the "staff curry" it is what the Indian workers will eat at the end of the shift, it's basically lava.
Do they not have Phaal round your way? If I see someone struggling to eat a vindaloo I quite often think why has he wasted 20 quid on something he clearly isn't enjoying that will ruin his arse tomorrow ? He could be be eating a lovely Korma, enjoying his meal and have a very thankful hoop in the morning.
the woman in the caravan park said hey what are you doing this is my parking spot
Appreciate the translation (if you aren't just lying)!
ruth jones and james cordan has just announced they have written a new show where they are siblings in a choir.
Why did Jess say "I knew it" when she guessed wrong about 3 seconds earlier 😂
Is that bottle really big or is mike really small?
😂
I miss those metal and cardboard containers, they all use those plastic ones now and they make them smaller and smaller. It's weird to me how they went on about having "a bag for life" and started charging for bags, but now they use plastic more than ever, everything is wrapped in lasers of plastic at the supermarket.... Almost as if it wasn't about the plastic and just a scam to charge for bags.
americans knowledge on Indian food is worrying
strange thing to worry about
Ain't nobody sharing curries in our house either. Eat you're own you bloody freeloader.
I have to admit, the first two episodes of series 3 aren’t my favourites, it feels at times like they are trying too hard to recapture the magic. It does get much better from the next episode though.
That Indian food order is the most relatable thing ever. It's always like that. Thank God the likes of Just-Eat and Uber Eats exist so I don't have to read out the list on the phone anymore. 😂 Also, guys if you ever visit us across the pond definitely eat at multiple Indian restaurants. The West Midlands especially has a boat load of great ones.
I don’t understand how you can get confused by the ending. Obviously Smithy texts Gav.
With the Indian order I’m very boring but I’ll always take a chicken korma or a chicken tikka masala, a cheese naan and a poppadom with mango chutney. It’s THE best for someone like me with mild tastebuds lol
It's all good my friend.
It was announced yesterday that Ruth and James have created and starring in a new show called The Choir which is being made for apple tv.
I never caught the East is East joke before - funny because Ruth Jones was in the movie! This is my fave episode - the indian order is iconic - but what I love is what you said - how real and natural they feel as a family. Also from a British perspective it's so weird that Americans don't know what most of that food it - it's as familiar to us as someone ordering a chow mein, hence Stacey's korma being the butt of their jokes because it's ultra mild, low spice coconut flavour and the usual order of people who aren't big curry fans and/or children.
It's also delicious
Smithy's Indian order is legendary in the UK it's always referenced and someone actually got it tattooed 😂
Love how they were already casually doing shots in the living room, then in the very next scene the suggestion of shots is treated like a miraculous new idea and gets them all instantly conga-ing back inside 😂😂 Proper pisshead behaviour
The song Smithy and Rudy were rapping is American Boy by Estelle and Kanye West, back when Kanye wasn't an absolute liability 😂
Liability 😂😂
Smithy says he'll order it himself but then requests the saag aloo from Mick that's the continuity error I'm seeing. Either way, legendary moment, as is the mock interview. Great episode. this one; one of the best they ever did.
Nah I think he's just changed his mind and confirmed that in actual fact he wants mick to order for him because he's a (lovable) cheapskate. Hence the eye rolls from Pam.
Smithy woke up and realised he slept with Ness. Text Gavin to tell him. He turns to Stacey to show her the text. Stacey texts Nessa who’s still asleep. Ness reads the text and turns to Smithy who’s still holding the phone, confirming he’s the original text sender.
Excellently put! Great description, haha I had to laugh that Mike and Jess didn’t put that together themselves though.🤣
It’s crazy no one ordered a Dansak . Best curry an absolute taste sensation 😋
Chicken or lamb though? I always have to toss a coin 🤣
Is this episode out of sync for anyone else? There’s a delay on Mike and Jess 🤔
Not for me, but it kept crashing and restarting the episode. I had to delete then install again to fix it.
They have slept together - you saw it
The whole ordering a Indian is so iconic
Bryn has had his hair transplant here
Yeah i thought that'd be mentioned. Mike and Jess are usually all on top of that sort of thing :)
Indian food gets a bad rep but they are masters of spices and flavour fusion. I am lucky I have Asian heritage and the cuisine was taught to me down the family line. If I told my Mum I was making her a Korma, she may think I have turned against her lol
It gets a bad rep?! Not in the UK it doesn't, we love it.
Smithy texted Gav that he was in with Nessa, Stacy texted Nessa to tell her
I always remember thinking the text was about Michael Jackson dying 😅 I’m sure episode came out the week after
Now we need an Estelle ft Kanye West - American Boy reaction😂
I love this episode. It's the funniest one
the text is from smithy to gav to say he'd slept with Nessa, then stacey text her to check - thats all it was
I'd be tempted to think the guy who plays Pete doesn't drink much at all - those of us who don't drink tend to be the best drunk actors because we've seen a lot more drunk people while we were sober enough to absorb the details!
I kinda got the impression there that Smithy had texted Gav about him and Nessa no?
OMG, the Indian delivery order is epic, So relatable.
Smithy messaged gav, he then showed Stacey who messaged nessa checking. Thats what I got from that at the end at least.
I don't think Dave is a "jerk" for being protective of Neil, the baby... fair enough he shouldn't call him "my boy" but he does look after him a lot of the time (since he was born too) and has grown attached 🤔
Yeah, he's essentially a stepfather
No, Smithy text Gavin to say he woke up in bed with Nessa.
AQA was real people rather than AI
Ah Smithy text Gav to tell him oops i did it again so Stacey text Nessa immediately to get the tea and thats all the texts were about.
I think the text was just Smithy texting Gavin that he slept with Nessa lol
I don’t think it’s a spoiler as it was in episode but I’m pretty sure smithy text gavin as smithy had his phone in hand as message woke up
Ness mentioned East is East (Ruth Jones is in it) you should give that a viewing, its a great film
Top class film
This is my favourite episode, Smithy’s order is legendary😂
