Yea its ok that G&S aren't your favourites,its like with Will & Grace, a lot of commenters on You tube say that Karen and Jack were way 'better', but that isn't strictly true. Karen and Jack, much like Smithy and Nessa were the ridiculous, comic sidekicks, and whilst their hilarity makes them all many people's favourites, the heart of both shows are the 2 more sensible characters around which the sidekicks orbit. If it wasn't for the more down to earth characters like them balancing things out and keeping it realistic, it wouldnt work. 😁

I lived in Cardiff for a long time before moving back to London. I used to see the filming spots quite often but unfortunately never saw them actually filming which was a shame. This show is very popular and much loved by Wales.

Guys for the next vote - Redwarf, Spaced, The League of Gentleman, Brass eye, Blackbooks are some of the best uk comedies of the last 30 years it’s criminal they weren’t even options. Love you guys!

Honestly paying a very small amount on Patreon to watch your reactions to my favourite shows and re watching it all is better than anything on Netflix or paramount in my opinion...you 2 are so funny..and i love it when you really get into a show(programme)when you enjoy it and dont get a lot of the references..its just great to see...

I'm surprised no one ever suggests Dinner Ladies for a reaction. It's another lovely comedy with relatable themes. It's still repeated regularly, so I don't know why it's not mentioned more.

The show was written purposely to make Gavn and Stacey the normal foundations whilst all the daftness, craziness from the side characters plays out naround them. I thought that would been apparent after Series 1.

You’re so right Mike about it coming across like they’re not acting. It’s so well cast and they always throw in a scene or two in every episode that is just family having a laugh with each other and doesn’t always have to push the story forward.

Did anyone else notice this version had a scene cut out? Nessa was in a truck because she had all Stacey's possessions. Stacey was upset that her mum wanted to get rid of all her stuff and Mick was upset because they had to find somewhere to put it. It wasn't a great scene, it just made me wonder what else may get cut out in the future.

Capriccio's - the Italian restaurant in this show is actually called Villa Napoli and is in Penarth (near Cardiff). I've been to this restaurant and if you can get to Wales on your visit to the UK, this would be a lovely place for your whole family to have a meal. I've been there and can recommend it! I love that you're both enjoying this show! xxx

I knew you'd both enjoy this. It's good clean fun overall with a little bit of filth thrown in here and there for a giggle but the characters are relatable which makes you get invested in them. The chemistry between all the main players just works and it shines. It's a beautiful little show.

I fully agree with the sentiments at the end and it's why I link both Gavin & Stacey and the Inbetweeners in my head. Both shows feels like real experiences and how real people would interact and not a show. Both have big parallels with how my life was growing up in the UK so they feel real if that makes any sense

I 100% believed you would love this show. Obviously, I don't know you totally, so I can be wrong, but I felt it. Gavin and Stacey are the most normal characters in the show, they keep the heart of it going, but it's all the side characters that bring the laughter and quirkiness that make this such a gem.

This episode is gold. I’ve not watched it for years. It was so fun watching it with you two as the pause on all of their faces when they saw Pete and dawn with their new friend was hilarious.

What Nessa meant by Pete Townshend and 'Where is the book?' Was a reference to Pete Townshend being arrested for possessing certain images, to which he claimed that he was writing a book about his own experience of abuse as a child. Of course being rich he got away with it and no book was ever forthcoming
