Proper Custom Radios

Note: I went through so much stress making this mod that I ended up short of breath, my heart was pounding, and my face went numb.

There are still some features I want to add and possible bugs to fix, but I will pause development for a while.

In the meantime, keep testing and if you find bugs, report them on the Mixmods Discord server; I have a page for this mod in the showroom.

When the final version is released, it will include a pack of vanilla radio stations adapted to the mod, my adapted "original radios extended," and radio stations from other games like III, VC, and stories, but first I need to reproduce all the features of the vanilla SA radio stations 1:1.

---

NOTE2: Do not upload radios with the entire mod packed in (unless your mod is a total conversion with new missions etc), just share the folders and give my official links for the plugin.

My mod brings new features to the game's radio system. With it, you are able to:

Add up to 256 new radios without replacing existing ones, keeping the originals intact.

Disable the original radios (useful for total conversions).

Skip songs by pressing "1" (even on original radios).

Have DJs talking about the time and weather, adverts, interviews, or taking calls from listeners.

Have DJs talking before and after the song, just like in the vanilla game (with random lines too).

Have custom on-screen radio icons.

Play online streams in .m3u format (there will be no sound if the source blocks external playback).

Dynamic Sound: If you exit the vehicle, the song continues playing with a muffled filter, and the volume lowers as you move away from the vehicle (only available for the new radios).

All of this is controlled via a .ini file that you can configure as you wish.

Supported formats: MP3, WAV, OGG, and FLAC. Recommendation: I recommend renaming the extension to ".jess" if you want to share your radios.

Performance Note: If your PC has a slow single-core CPU, custom radios might stutter when using heavy files like .flac. In this case, I recommend converting them to compressed MP3 at 320kbps with a sample rate of 44100Hz.

Usage Guide:

In the "ProperRadios" folder, there is two sample radio folders named "Custom Radio 1" and 2, that you can use as a base to build your own. To make custom radios, simply create more subfolders with the name of your radio and place your songs inside.

All custom radios have support for:

"Atmospheric" subfolder: Place DJ audio files talking about time and weather here.

"config" subfolder: Here you can place your "logotipo.txd" with your radio's logo + a config.ini with special settings (like name and volume override).

"Radio_others" subfolder: Place the rest of the DJ audio files here (you can configure the frequency of DJ speech in ProperCustomRadios.ini).

"intro_outros" subfolder: Place your intro and outros (endings) for your songs, check "Jessica Sample - Beijo fatal.jess.txt" to see how to link it to your song.

In the "ProperRadios" folder, there are also other default subfolders like m3uradios (for your .m3u streams) and vanillaicons (which contains rlogos.txd with the vanilla radio icons).

What other features do I plan to add? I want to implement a radio wheel and the ability to link DJ lines to story progression, similar to the vanilla game. Besides that, I aim to fix any bugs in the mod. As you can see, the script is over 1MB in size, so issues are expected.

This mod has a lot of potential! I like it because it's like an alternative to the "Atp" mod, keep it up!!
