Hello everyone, how long?
In this progress journal I want to show you the advances and ideas that will arrive soon for Dark Mode, and there are so many ideas that I have for 2023, that I wanted to share them with you, I won't get caught up anymore and let's get to it.
I have not worked on Dark Mode.
No, it's not a joke. Since the last update, which was on December 9, 2022 (and that was because I implemented the patch badly), I need time to dedicate love to the mod, and this is due to my work, December and January are the months It's a heavier workload for me, and I can't afford to work on the mod at the moment, but if I can tell you anything, it's that the second week of January I'll be working on the mod again.
Ideas not implemented.
Do not think that I do not have material to start working with, as you can see in the image capture I have many ideas that I did not get to implement in the mod, and other features that were already there from the beginning, I discarded them since I wanted to redesign these parts , but due to lack of time I could not at the end. So I took them out to be able to work on them later and adding that I still have many texture images to edit, I am far from ending up in Dark Mode. (especially the updates that are coming for the sims 4)
Pink Mode.
Maybe you already noticed, but if I don't say it again. Soon I will release a highly requested mod, The Pink Mode. This comes as a result of multiple videos that I have seen on YouTube and TikTok where they review the Dark Mode, either by the author of the video or in the comments, they ask me or someone to do a Pink Mode, which will be done reality in February, a week after updating in Dark Mode. Why in February? Because first I need to work on the Dark Mode update, once this update is ready, I will be able to work on the mod. Since the number of files is quite large, there are approximately 103 files to edit, so that it is on par with Dark Mode. (not counting the new ones that I will add in the future)
I will possibly put it on a paywall when the beta versions of the mod become available and I release it to the public in the third week of February.
And something else.
On December 29, 2022, MizoreYukii uploaded a post on patreon, where he talks about news about his work.
And among all that he mentioned Arnie's old mods and dark mode.
Well for those of you who don't know, I started as a simple patch for Arnie's dark mode. In the werewolves update the dark mode was broken and Arnie released a final version and it was still broken, I got to work and made a patch for myself from the dark mode.
The update for high school years was announced, and with it a redesign of the phone, and I knew the dark mode was going to break more, so I decided to work on my own version of the dark mode, at this point Arnie already said that he was looking for someone who It will adopt its mods, but it set certain requirements (something that I did not meet at all)
On July 11, 2022 on the modthesims page I upload the patched version of Arnie's original dark mode 1.0.0 but this mod is not made public until July 25 of the same year, which on that same day Arnie finally spoke and said that MizoreYukii would adopt her mods, 2 days later she would contact me and explain this situation, and with words people understand each other. We fixed the situation very quickly, I made it very clear with the dark mode and he let me continue.
[This mod is not and never has been a continuation of Arnie's original mod, as it took me quite a long way from the original idea]
In version 1.0.0 it is made clear, being that everything related to the Plumfruit was deleted. Anyway, with this announcement I can say yes, I will add compatibility with Arnie's mods as soon as MizoreYukii updates them.
This would be all I'll say, Dark Mode will be updated in the second week of February, and Pink Mode will be released a week later, but with betas available exclusively for patrons in January.
