Mod updates and a vacation
Veracruz-style coffee
Hola ¿cómo están?
Have you already purchased the Nintendo Switch 2? I was planning to buy one for "my daughters" (actually, it was for me, but the excuse works) as a reward for their good grades, despite the school transfer. However, its price is extremely high, never going under 18,000 MXN (approximately 950 USD) anywhere.
Mind you, I'm not asking for help buying it; rather, it's sad that I can't afford it even with my monthly salary as a nurse. As a neonatal nurse, I earn 15,000 MXN a month (approximately 790 USD) (not including overtime pay), and it's even sadder that a "loving" person earns that much in a day. Wuey, that's why they say nursing is more of a vocational job.
Well, I better stop crying, I'm not going to achieve anything.
New adoption of hepandeerus mods
A while back, I started updating hepandeerus's mod ideas, and here comes another adoption/update: Build Buy UI - Purple.
This mod will be available on June 20th as early access for two weeks. In fact, it's already ready and uploaded to the platform. I'll continue to upload the other variants one by one, one per month, and add compatibility with my mods.
I will continue updating the alphas until the arrival of the fairies.
Okay, it's no surprise to anyone that the fairies are already confirmed (many called me crazy, but I was right) and that we'll have a mega update on July 1st.
And depending on how broken the update is, I might pause the alphas until further notice. How broken is it going to be? We're talking about literally adding a new life form to Sims. Take your precautions, as it will be just like the arrival of babies, horses, or any other type of playable life. In fact, expect some mods that won't update for several days.
I'm saying this in case there are people wondering why I don't update the alphas when we just received an update. I mean, don't you see that I'm barely breathing, and since you want the mod update, but now, que no mamen
In parallel, another game is updated
Okay, so almost on the same day, RimWorld and its expansion were announced and updated with version 1.6. Well, this is more of an announcement than anything, since I've been adding 1.6 compatibility to my mod and retexture translations for a few days now. And, unlike The Sims, 1.6 is available in beta and can be downloaded to update mods so they're compatible with the official release from day one.
After so much time I will release another update for the donor version.
Yes, I know, I've neglected this variant for a long time. But since I've increased the number of available mods, it's taken away time from updating it.
I'm actually planning to release an update for June 24th. The update will focus on the CAS and several icons in the Live Mode interface, and a bit on the World Manager interface. Above all, it's about redesigning the icons, as I've been working on them bit by bit, since there are quite a few icons.
I originally planned to release an update for Green mode, but decided to focus my efforts on the medieval interface.
After updating the Sims mods I'll be on vacation.
If you ask for the photo, it's just a shrimp broth they give you at seafood restaurants as a courtesy, as an appetizer, while you wait for your food, in Veracruz.
Okay, I'll be on vacation for two weeks, and I'll take advantage of these days to disconnect from everything, including creating mods, since I want to spend time with my daughters and also with my partner, who took on the role of mother without me demanding it, and I want to thank him properly.
Two weeks away from the clinic—you have no idea how much I need this break. It'll be two weeks without dealing with amniotic fluid coatings, vaginal fluids, adult female urine, or adult female fecal matter (and I'm serious).
Two weeks of rest before returning to university, since they gave me my schedule and I have to go to the operating room. Noooooooo. It's not that it's complicated for me, but I don't like being in the operating room: the rules for being there, the preparations. If I have no other option, I'll go in, but in general, the protocol for entering the operating room stresses me out.
I mean, these are more personal things.
That's it, I just want to rest. My stress levels are high, my hair is already feeling it. My hair isn't falling out, otherwise I'll get gray hair. I've had gray hair since I was 25, and I'm 28 (almost 29).
I'm just asking for a break.
That's all there is to it. I'll continue updating and creating mods, but all I ask for is a well-deserved break. Many thanks to all the people who donate to me; some have been donating consistently for months, while others make a single donation. All I can say is: thank you.

Yes I instantly thought that was a shrimp.. in coffee 😂😂
omg i thought little shrimp IN THE COFFEEEE!!!
Nah, I mean, I'm from Veracruz, but we don't go that far either.
My husband got his at walmart I'm not sure if that's something you have but hopefully you do. But I just want to say you're so young still you can still save your hair. Stress definitely is a killer for that and at almost 36 I definitely feel you on that. I hope all is well.
Yes, that franchise exists here in Mexico, along with all its divisions, such as Superama, Sam's Club, Bodega Aurrerá, etc. However, the Switch still costs approximately 18,000 MXN and comes without games, just the console.
I got my Switch 2 at Costco! Best deal with the bundle. I hope you have a great vacation!
I'll see if I can check it out there, since one of my younger sisters has a membership, and sometimes there are really good deals. In fact, I sometimes stock up on medical supplies, since it's cheaper to buy in bulk.
I walked in Cotsco and boom there they were but it was the bundles. WalMart online this morning had another drop of Nintendo S 2 but also only 3 bundles left as of now. They go so quick.
