General Update + Release Date!
Hello friends! It's Throbbing... Well, not Thursday, but Tuesday will do!
It is time for a new general update, some R3 screenshots, and information about the release date!
Let's start with what is new. I am currently finishing Lise's Day 2, and I can already tell you that it will be a showcase of what I can do with my new hardware.
From the best lighting I can do to more cinematic camera angles, I can't wait till you see it. You will check out the parasite infestation, Lise will teach you a little about her homemade weaponry, you'll get to visit Despina's shuttle, and finally, if you were a hard worker, you might see something else that is pretty hard and ready!
I have also started working on the much-expected royal visit of her majesty pirate queen Eleanor! A VERY spicy "bad" end option to explore!
Finally, good progress was made with Markala's scene. If you enjoy size difference, this one will be for you.
All in all, the development is going well! "Yes, yes, whatever, dev, but WHEN will it be released?" You might ask. My original - rough! - estimate was the end of this month. I can now for sure tell you it won't be the case. Making R3 in ~2 months was always a very ambitious undertaking, and I am afraid I was not fully appreciating the scope of the work in front of me. That said, I aim to release R3 at the end of June.
For this reason, I've also decided to generally adjust my release schedule. The future Release 4 will be smaller than R3 and more similar in size to R2. I aim to release it in two months, which should allow for steady development without too long of a blue balling hiatus. This model will include smaller releases every two months, occasionally exchanged with larger ones, mostly to deliver significant story milestones. If this works for everyone, it is the model I'd like to stick with it.
That's it for today. Next up is a detailed progress report!
And, like always, in case of any questions, suggestions, or ideas, please let me know!

do we get a button or option to reteurn to the point we made the ``bad`` decision. or do we just need to save/mutiple saves? because i remebember you said you dindt want to lock anyone out by design in the game.
Any decision that could potentially lead to a bad ending will be telegraphed repeatedly in advance! Also, all bad endings will have at least two phases. First, when you get to taste what is going to happen, along with a skill check/decision to still get out, and second when the bad end itself will happen.
Smaller releases more frequently is better IMO, not only for us but also for you as it allows a more consistent feedback on your work. Really excited for R3, and please don't push yourself too much, your health is important.
That is very much my reasoning as well.
Yooooo
You’re fucking great dude. Never change. Having an artist who is as talented as you AND who interacts with his fan base as often as you do… it’s a wild dream come true. Beautiful work.
Thank you!
2-3 months for a release is a good plan, if you can stick to it this game will be a great success! :)
lots of juicy meat sticks to look forward too
I would echo Ainz's sentiment. That being said, I'm looking forward to meeting Grace and facing Eleanor.
I am still pretty new to this whole dev business, so I am trying to find a model that will work best for all of us. The one I picked with R3 is clearly not optimal; hence I will try the one I mentioned above!
Looks great, can’t wait for the end of June!
Think 2 months sounds a bit better, as long as you ain't putting too much stress on ya self.
Ainz, you are too good of a person, thinking about ol' Void too!
Honestly I think a 3 month window would be better. The amount of detail and content that goes into releases is so much I think 2 months is like you said, very ambitious. Love the new teasers!
U DA BEST!!!!
Thank you, Jacky! You are!
