How will Star Periphery look with new hardware?
Hello, friends!
Today's update will be a very special one. It is not the Progress Update or Tech Update. It is not even a general update. Today, I want to show you the first results of working on my new hardware (graciously provided by YOU, my dear patrons!)
These last few days were, without a doubt, a significant challenge. New, shiny, fast hardware also meant I had to completely revise my workflow from the ground up. I also had to rethink my post-work routines, as those I used before are no longer applicable. Long story short, after much tinkering, I think I am ready to show you the first results!
Pictures always talk louder, so without further ado, let's start with one of my older renders, one of the understreets of our lovely station. You've all seen this one in the game:
And this is how it looks now:
I expect all future environments to be on par, quality-wise.
But let's look at some characters, too, as some progress was also achieved there! Here is a new, refreshed Tessa:
She has new nipples, foreskin, balls, a nicer eye shader, higher mesh resolution, and a few more little details. And with a little future sneak peek of our voluptuous salvager with free, flowing hair!
Here is the upgraded Ginny with the same treatment as above (+extras):
But this is only the beginning of the work. All the main characters will get a refresh like this (next up, mistress Iris herself and our brave MC!) and later will receive higher-resolution textures and normal maps. These will include all those lovely little imperfections like stretchmarks, breast veins, beauty marks, scars from the war, etc.
I am certain I can push Star Periphery to another visual level with my new hardware. I hope you liked this tiny sneak peek. The future is bright, friends!
And, as always, in case of any questions, suggestions, or ideas, please let me know!

Good work, i love it
Amazing! City renders now truly feels like some cyberpunk theme or bladerunner scene.
I always wanted PSX to be somewhere between Blade Runner and Fifth Element, and now I finally can!
I LOVE Tessa, good work!
I'm glad you do; I am happy about her updates myself!
ohhhh mama
Damn this is going to look like a whole new game it looks fantastic i can't wait !
I will be reworking the old material gradually so that the development of new content does not suffer. But everything made from now on will be on the same level of quality!
wow wow and WOW
Glad you like it!
The new environments and models look great! Definitely a noticeable improvement. even though I thought that the old models looked great as is. I also like that you'll be adding imperfections as well (marks, scars, etc.) but I recommend that you don't go overboard with those, too many imperfections or pronounced imperfections can negatively affect model quality.
Very much agree about the imperfections! They must be there sparsely, only to underscore the existing beauty.
So glad to be apart of this, good job VP!!!
And I'm glad you are here!
Tessa looks amazing
I am also happy with her new look! And it is only the beginning.
With a god level game backed by the hardware, only increases such gorgeous ideas from the god himself! Beautiful, and I can't wait to get into the next update! Everything is looking good! Keep it up <3
Thank you! I will!
Love all the details in the new space station! Can’t wait to see what you can do with more time. :))
Me too! Getting annoyed about having to sleep at this point.
Oh damn that environment looks gorgeous! I liked the original for the campy total recall feel it had but the new one looks spectacular
Ha, Total Recall was one of my biggest inspirations!
The possibilities!
Endless!
Goddamn. There are no words for the Hype I'm feeling right now.
Oh, you tell me! I cannot describe how happy I am that I can finally give you the visual quality I always wanted!
U da best
Thank you, Jacky!
