R6.8 Progress Update #3 + Game News!
Hello, hello, dear friends!
A solid amount of work was done on R6.8, so let's look at the progress and talk about some other (good) related news!
First off, I'm now nearly done with backgrounds for R6.8, and I must say that R6.8 might end up as the best-looking update so far!
This brings us to a first (little) novelty for the game: scrollable backgrounds! With R6.8 (and future updates), some backgrounds will be much larger than what could fit into one screen, so you'll be able to scroll/drag around them, to check all the (spicy) detail! This is the first step towards more interactive, living backgrounds, which is one of the future objectives of the game.
Let's take a look at the first such screen, the understreets of the PS-10 Upper Spires!
Beyond that, the work on Amira's scenes also continues. I have some pretty hot surprises for you, and a little departure from the regular work > scene model!
Finally, the biggest news is that there is a very good chance that R6.8 will be the first release that will come not only for Windows, Linux, and Mac, but also with the much-requested official Android version! Everything is still in the process, so I'm not promising anything yet, but it's being worked on intently!
That is for today. I hope you enjoyed this little update. It's a busy time for SP, but there are some great things in store I have yet to uncover this year, and I have a great feeling about all of them!
Have a fantastic rest of the day, and take care!
