(šupdated againš) āāUpdate to "Despisers of Waste" tierāā (help, oh god help) please read!!
I've just sent out requests for new little animated guys and there are EIGHTY-FIVE active people in the tier. While I am extremely grateful for the support, and I WILL be making each and every little guy I've sent a request to, this is completely unsustainable.
15 or so new people joining in-between videos means it might take me over a week to finish the little guys, but eighty-five??? Oh my goodness gracious.
As such, I'm updating the requirements for a little guy henceforth- 3 months of active support *(After talking with some trusted people + other Youtubers I've been advised to change this to 6 months, at least for now!!) in the "Despisers of Waste" tier will be needed to qualify for a little guy. I've updated the description of the tier already. (I've still of course sent requests to active 1 or 2 month patrons from before this update)
I think a lot of people were seeing the tier as a one time payment commission to get their animated feller and then leaving, which was okay to a point, as there are wonderful patrons who have been here for literal years with their constant support offsetting the balance, but unfortunately with that setup it means those little fellers were (and are) actively costing me a lot of time and money, which I would rather be spending on making new videos for my long-term audience/patrons. For example, I can't really finish up work on the next video (Sonic Unleashed) until I finish up these little guys, which I know is going to take weeks, if not over a month.
I don't want to increase the price. I would much rather keep that the same for those who have been supporting me for years, but I think a 3 month *6 month minimum subscription is the way to go- which I might make longer in the future, depending on how this goes.
I work completely alone on all of my videos and projects, so this is something I really need to do, rather than want to do. Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions!

It's okay Rad it definitely is a lot, considering it's not just to create a little guy but to keep the design and preference to the person while making videos. It is for sure a work in progress system.

Hey I just joined today specifically for the little animation but honestly, if it continues to be overwhelming don't feel bad about making further changes to this reward (longer waits/like a year maybe/ or just pausing it as an option until you catch up). I know I (and others) would totally understand.
Gonna be fully honest, the little fella is what attracted me to the patreon... but you will literally have to drag me out against my will š¤£š¤£ this content is amazing!! I ain't goin anywhere!

Completely understandable, especially with how art that is commision based often goes for 40-70$ for just line art. 85 little guys sounds like quite a lot, and I respect choosing quality over quantity.
No that makes sense and is understandable. Thatās a lot of work to do otherwise and we know you are a man of quality then quantity and wouldnāt want to rush them. Unfortunate but if it means youāll be able to get work more on your videos and so youāre not overwhelmed and overworked then go ahead, a 6 month subscription minimum makes sense. Hope youāre doing well btw, looking forward to that Sonic unleashed video. š

Absolutely understandable and fair policy to start enacting, it isnt fair to you to just use a single month as a cheap commission. My little guy is my favorite piece of art ive gotten in years so you've got my support as long as I am able

Yeah of course man. Take your time on it. Donāt stress to do something just cause we paid for it. If anything we pay because you we enjoy your content. Why would we want you to be overburdened and put out something of a lesser quality? Weāll be here waiting for when you feel up to it.

Hi all, sorry to update again but I got some close people I know very passionately telling me 3 months was still a bit too cruel to myself, so for now I'm going to make the requirement 6 months. I might change this later to a lower number, but at least for now, this is what I'll be going with!! ā¤ā¤ā¤

honestly this is totally understandable, I fully understand and agree with where you're coming from here, 85 is an absolutely insane number, wishing you luck on doing those!
This is 100% understandable and justified; imma give you the same advice I frequently have to give my mom which is not to overexert yourself or stretch yourself too thin! I cannot fathom the sheer time and energy that must go into videos as long and high quality as yours, *especially* working solo. Making this a three month waiting period is completely fair. All I ever expect of you is that you stay radical š
