Pocket Diary #10

I'm back from vacation! I decided to take a proper break. No work on the AVN, lack of time and a need for relaxation really. I did a little scene sorting, but mostly I turned the project off. Now I'm back. I've started renders for chapter 7, scene 1. I'm a little jetlagged, so woke up at 02.00 and started rendering...and sorting the scenes for the last 4 chapters. Post-its on poster board is a solid overview of the next 4 chapters (Sorry, had to blur the text. Not a fan of spoilers). I don't think I can break the chapters up like I contemplated. Do I want to succeed? Of course, but not on the back of short cuts and half-assed solutions. Chapter 7 is substantial, but the goal is to keep it under 2000 renders. Which means that I have to render an average of 100 renders a week to make my goal of a 6 month turn around. Sounds doable, but the workload on the 2-3 days that I have to render per week will make it a constant challenge. And particularly for chapters 7 and 10, but not impossible. I think the new public progress counter will keep me honest with myself. Based on scene count and 2000 renders per chapter, it will give you and I a look at how I'm doing and not just based on a "feeling". Maybe a little too specific for my own taste. It's not funny, clever or sexy...seems like it's nothing that I am, but it is factual:-)
