Dear Pocket Diary #7

It's been a minute. But it's Wednesday and I'm rendering...so seems a midweek diary post is in order. I know I mentioned this before, but fixing the GC settings and reinstalling Daz seems to have worked wonders. Despite the fact that functioning software isn't exactly an inspiration, it sure doesn't hurt the process.

I felt like I should also clarify something I wrote in my last Case Log. The mention of long-time supporters and my appreciation was meant only as a gesture of gratitude and not some backhanded way of guilting you into continued support of the project. Pecker will have his 10 chapters no matter what...and hopefully many more. If you choose to support it, I will accept that happily.

Well, since I can't bitch about the process, maybe I should just focus on what is in front of my nose. The last scene of chapter 6. A to-do at the home of a seemingly friendly gangster. A "surprise" guest, an unexpected reunion, and a demonstration of what it can be like to be on the wrong side of Mr. Bellarosa's favor. Will that drive the MC's actions? My guess is: probably not. Not to undermine my Case Log on Sunday, but scene 8 is done. Starting the final scene now and it is exiting. There are lots of moving parts, well, they aren't actually moving, but it's a bunch of scenes rolled up in one. In the past I have kind of separated the scenes as you would in a screenplay, but scene 9 will be played as one, including a flashback.

When I render, I usually listen to music or podcasts. Today it's podcasts and despite the pretty dark subject matters (political and news) I got a giggle from a commercial on erectile dysfunction. I don't think erectile dysfunction is a subject to make light of, but I thought it funny while sitting here making an AVN to help people feel good about themselves and on the topic of sexuality (mostly just to entertain). I guess you'd have to be there. The topic (sexuality) should probably be more natural with less cultural stigma. Sex should be treated like food. We all need it in some shape and it's only the individual's involved prerogative what is right and what is wrong. I don't understand the problem with what should be celebrated as one of the things that make us human. My little rant: Show compassion, listen to people that aren't in your bubble, and be considerate to strangers. Love you guys!
