Greyvale Rivalry - Episode 2 - Status Update #6

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since our last update! Let's talk about what we've been up to over the last month.

First off, we put together a demo for Steam because we wanted to join the October Steam Next Fest! To be honest, dealing with the phone code during this prep was a headache. It just wouldn't work right with the translations. We had to do a massive code cleanup, but we finally got it into a solid spot. The good news is that adding translations for future releases will be a breeze from now on.

Other than that, we've started working on 2 new scenes. Normally, we like to lock in on just one scene and finish it completely before moving on, but since one of these has animations, we're rendering the static parts and poses gradually as the animations get done.

Also, we've already started picking out and working on music for Episode 2! Trust me, leaving it all to the last minute in Episode 1 taught us a hard lesson; choosing tracks and handling licenses took way too much time and delayed our release. This time, we wanted to get ahead of it.

Honestly, we feel like we're making progress right now. There are only 6 scenes left! Two of them have animations, so they'll take a bit longer than the rest, but looking at the big picture, Episode 2 is finally starting to feel real and giving us that "hell yeah, we're actually doing this" vibe.

Scene 5: Started this scene a few days ago, and it's looking good so far. Not sure about the exact render count, but it should be in the ballpark of 160.

Scene 13: Finding a suitable environment for this scene was annoying as hell. It took at least a couple of days, but we finally found one we were satisfied with. Right now it's around 80 renders, which is not a lot, but as we mentioned earlier, we're progressing this scene as the animations finish. Also, the animation count is 9 as of today.
