New Tiers & 2026 Direction (Important)

Hey everyone,

I’ve just published the new tiers, and before breaking them down individually, I want to talk directly to you about why I made these changes.

Changing tiers isn’t something I take lightly. I’ve tried adjusting them before, and it didn’t go as well as I hoped. This time, I took my time, thought carefully, and focused on finding a balance that works both for you and for me.

Over the past months, I’ve realized something very important: there’s a delicate balance between posting content frequently and maintaining a level of quality I’m proud of, without letting the process damage my mental health in the long run.

Posting frequently matters for two main reasons.

First — and most importantly — because you deserve to feel that I’m present. I never want you to feel abandoned or forgotten. Consistency matters, and it matters to me.

Second, there’s a practical side: this is my livelihood. To keep growing and reaching new supporters, I need to be visible. And visibility only happens with consistent posts — not just every few months when a full comic is released. This was a key issue I needed to solve, and I believe this new structure finally does that.

Daily Images (Monday to Friday)

From now on, I’ll be posting daily images from Monday to Friday.

These are not wallpapers or massive renders. They’re simple but well-crafted scenes or poses, featuring one or more characters. Nothing overly complex — but always something made with care and intention.

This format allows me to create content daily without burning out, while also giving you something new to enjoy consistently. Older images I create will also be shared across platforms, helping the project grow.

A New Approach to WIPs

WIPs are also changing.

After researching better ways to handle them, I realized I wasn’t using them correctly. WIPs shouldn’t be a random dump of images. Instead, they work best as carefully selected previews — up to 10 images — that let you follow the development of the story without ruining the surprise.

I was stuck in a “quantity over quality” mindset, and I’ve learned that’s not the best way to do this.

Comics: Chapter by Chapter

The way I produce comics is also evolving.

Previously, I would fully render, edit, and polish the entire comic before releasing it. This approach is slow, hard to control, and often leads to comics becoming much longer than planned.

From now on, comics will be produced chapter by chapter.

I’ll create Chapter 1, fully edit it (dialogue, post-production, everything), and release it. Then I’ll move on to Chapter 2, and so on. This gives me more control, keeps projects on schedule, and allows you to experience the story sooner.

With this system, you’ll have different options:

  • Tiers that give early access to chapters, or

  • Tiers for those who prefer to wait and read the complete comic only when it’s 100% finished, avoiding spoilers.

About the Archive

Just to clarify how the archive will work:

All tiers will have access to the archive.

The archive will continue to be updated over time, but it will not include WIPs. It will contain only completed comics, daily images, and older works.

WIPs will remain exclusive to the tiers that include behind-the-scenes access, while the archive is meant to be a clean, spoiler-free space for finished content.

I hope this helps clarify things and makes it easier for everyone to enjoy the content in the way they prefer.

About Animation (for now)

This also means making a difficult but necessary decision: I won’t be actively focusing on animation for the time being.

I’m not abandoning it completely. I’ll still practice, and I may release short animations occasionally (like the Agnes short I mentioned recently). But I need to be honest with myself and with you.

Right now:

  • I still have relatively few original comics compared to other artists

  • I have few OCs, and even AbyssO — my main character — doesn’t have a full comic yet

  • And I still have a lot to learn before reaching the level of animation quality I want

On the other hand:

  • I have many ideas for comics

  • I have many ideas for original characters

  • And I want to focus almost entirely on OCs throughout this year

Just this week alone, I wrote three new original characters:

  • A young nun

  • A gothic, depressed rocker

  • And an Oyabun — the head of a powerful yakuza family — cold, cruel, and ruthless

Focusing on the Abysso universe removes the pressure to rush animations and allows me to grow, practice, and deliver stronger stories through comics.

I genuinely believe this is the best path forward.

New Tier Breakdown

Here’s a clear overview of what each tier includes, so you can easily choose what fits you best.

US$ 5 — The Surface

For those who want daily content and prefer to experience the full story later.

  • 1 image per day (Monday–Friday)

  • Access to the full comic 1 month after the final release

This tier is ideal if you enjoy consistent daily content and prefer to wait for the complete comic without seeing previews or spoilers.

US$ 8 — The Descent

For those who like to follow the creative process.

  • 1 image per day (Monday–Friday)

  • 1 weekly comic WIP (5–10 selected images)

  • Full comic access on day one (final version)

This tier gives you insight into how the comic is built, with carefully selected WIPs that show development without spoiling the experience.

US$ 10 — The Depths

For those who want to follow the story as it unfolds.

  • 1 image per day (Monday–Friday)

  • 1 weekly comic WIP (5–10 selected images)

  • Early access to comic chapters, released every 2–3 weeks

This tier is for readers who don’t want to wait for the full release and prefer to experience the narrative chapter by chapter, with continuous access to the story.

US$ 15 — The Abyss

For those who want to be closer to the creative direction.

  • Everything from previous tiers

  • Monthly vote to choose the character featured in daily images

  • Pose suggestions (not guaranteed)

  • Only my original characters (OCs) — no new characters will be created

This tier allows you to influence future content in a controlled and sustainable way, while I keep full creative direction to ensure quality and consistency.

Important Notes

  • WIPs are curated selections, not full previews or spoilers

  • Votes and suggestions are reviewed once per month

  • All content focuses on original characters and the Abysso universe

    Very Important:
All supporters who have already paid for a tier — including older tiers — will continue to have full access to content according to their previous tier benefits for the next 3 months, giving everyone enough time to adapt to the new tier structure.

What Happens Next

The new tiers will go live starting this Monday.

Agnes’ comic will now be released in chapters, so you’ll soon see multiple scenes with dialogue, alongside the new WIPs.

I spent a long time thinking about pricing, and these tiers represent the fairest balance I could create — one that respects your support and allows me to stay consistent, focused, and healthy.

Thank you for being here, for your patience, and for supporting me. You all are amazing!

— Abysso

hey abysso. One thing you didnt mention about was the archive. What tier was that for or would that not change at all?

Good point. Thank you for reminding me. I'll explain it better in the post. But in short, every tier will have access to the archive. It will be updated, but it won't contain WIPs, only completed comics and daily images (and older works, obviously).

Hi abysso, as a current silver member does this mean i won't be able to see more wips for the remaining time of my suscription? 🥲

Hi! Don't worry. You will have access to the WIPs normally within the month you paid for. Nothing will change for you. Only after 1 month will you no longer be able to access them. Edit: I’ve given this more thought, and I truly believe it’s only fair to long-time, loyal supporters like you to keep access to the old tier benefits for three months, so you have plenty of time to adapt to the new structure without any pressure. I’ve already updated the post to reflect this change. I hope this makes things clearer and more comfortable for you — and thank you again for your continued support.
