SM6: Hollow Sorrows - Father Gregor Design
HI HI!!!! Today we are talking about the main antagonist; Father Gregor!!!!! Yep, he is the antagonist!
As some of you know, Father Gregor comes from a personal experience in halloween when I was a kid; In México was not a popular and many thought it was a devilsh act to the point of throwing hot/boiling water at kids, an old lady did it and I never forgot about that!
There is not enough doodles of him because I liked the first design a lot!
I based his personality from " The Perfectionist" from Courage the cowardly dog, the teacher to be specifiq. At the begining of the production, Gregor was build to be more judgmental and stirct with the kids, but after talking to friends about experiences and what "The Perfectionist" episode really means I changed him to be strict but thoughtful I guess?? He would rather help the kids after knowing why they are like that then throwing them boiling water!
The episode was based on 2 main movies, "The Exorcist" and "The Rite", both movies are about exorcisms and a character with a weak hope (in the case of SM:HS Gregor is ment to be Order and the kids are Chaos)
There was a lot of changes for Gregor's personality, but the one thing I added was the bag, because he needs to be ready!!
A Perfectionist and strict person will always be ready for whatever happens... like a demon possesing someone BUT THAT'S FOR ANOTHER POST!! Oh and heres a doodle I made WAAAY back, before the episode, yeah, I like spoiling people without them knowing it! ahahah

I wonder if in future episodes we might see more priests, with entirely different personalities compared with Gregor, who knows, maybe we might see scrapped ones in later series.

Plot twist: ep 7 is focused on frank turning the kids back to being irresponsible since Gregor pissed him off and he wants his nephews back
An old lady did WHAT?! 😱 Like ye my Granny thought we shouldn’t celebrate Halloween either- but DAMN?! Ngl I was ready to throw hands when Gregor confronted Lila- but I get it was coming from a good place and he had a point- Ik she’s doing her best tho and hope she catches a break soon?! 🥺

I'm glad Gregor didn't hurt the kids too much like in the original script the episode is already sad I couldn't imagine how much we'd all cry if he was yelling at them even more lol
There is A LOT of cut stuff from the original episode!!! hope I can talk about it little by little, mostly about Greg
I honestly can’t believe that this guy’s an antagonist. I thought he’s just some old Christian man whose purpose in the episode is to defend the kids and teach them some lessons since those traits would technically fall into the protagonist spectrum.
Not all antagonists are bad, he is just the opposite of the protagonists; Skid n Pump
