Chapter 12 Status Report (3)
Hi guys,
Sorry for the recent lack of status report updates; I've been putting it off since I can't share much yet and I struggle to come up with something that's worth sharing. As always, I've been focusing my attention and effort in developing the new chapter, prioritizing the script.
It's been a bit hard being as productive as I would've liked these past weeks (got hit by the flu, had some remodelations done in my home office, and the artists I was collaborating with decided to ghost me and run away with the money), but I've been getting things back on track.
At least the backgrounds are ready! I've been working on the art too, and now I can finish off some illustrations with the appropriate backgrounds, while I conduct a new search and tryouts for artist to help me speed up the production.
Aside from that, I can't think of much else to discuss at the moment. I wish I could tell you about this or that scene I finished writing, the challenges it presented, or share some of the images I've been completing, but of course that would spoil things. I will show you something I found while digging through my files though, and that seemed curious enough:
When I was building the first iteration of Our Red String I went through several designs, in this case I was trying out different text boxes. I also created some extra outfits for some characters that were never used (but I might use some of them in the future).
Are you interested in seeing more discarded designs and prototypes from the inception of ORS? If so, let me know and I'll make a post for my patrons; at least I get to share something with you while I keep working on Chapter 12.

I'd be interested in seeing discarded designs as well. I always like seeing stuff that could have been used but wasn't or might be used in the future.

I wouldn't mind hearing more about the discarded/cut stuff from GGGB if that's an option. From some of the older comments it sounded like there were more routes/storylines/endings planned that got cut.

Honestly when I hear devs give excuses it never feels me with confidence of where the game is going. Just give positive updates and keep your private stuff to yourself.
Au contraire! I trust Eva and know how much she is working (through her vast deliveries). So there ist no reason for me to doubt her explainations and view them as cheap excuses. There is nothing to excuse since she delivers fine and did not promise any deadlibe. Instead we can try to morally support her. Yes, there is no need to tell use some details if she feels uncomfortable with letting us know. But I find it interesting to hear because I am invested in her developments.
Goddamn! You got ripped off by deadbeat artists?! I'd def only go with people who've been personally referred, or work on a half-now/half-later basis. I've commissioned plenty of art for my own works, but have thankfully never fallen prey to scumbags. Sorry to hear about that.
Hola Eva! Thank you for the update. I hope you're feeling good now. Wow, that's a really bummer with those 'artists'. I'd think it would be a good idea to spread the word around and warn people about those scammers. That beach look lovely. I can't wait to see all the shenanigans our friends will be part of right there. I'd like to see more of discarded ideas (maybe with some insight why it hasn't been choses as well). Lena's top looks great and sexy but that boots...I don't think Lena ever afford the Givenchy ;) also they look 'whorish' to me. Maybe Ivy's-like Lena would wear that kind of boots.
Sorry to hear about the flu and that artist. Looking forward to the update. That background and outfit look nice. Wouldn’t mind seeing it in-game alongside the necklaces Ian can give Lena, Alison, Minerva, etc.
That's a really nice top. I would like seeing more of the art that didn't make it into game.
