Our Red String Chapter 12 (Tournament update) BETA Release!
Here's the Beta for Chapter 12's tournament update! Major bugs from the Alpha have been fixed, some additional dialogue pertaining to the Cherry/Holly routes has been added, plus a new Stalkfap scene and a small expansion to one of the sex scenes. The Full release will expand on another scene from Chapter 11.
This part of Chapter 12 focuses on the MMA tournament, while trying to advance some plotlines with character relationships. You might also find a particularly intense and maybe unexpected scene if you're on a certain path...
I had to go back and fix somewhat of a plothole regarding the Cindy love path: turns out Ian hadn't yet broken up with Lena and/or Alison even though he said he would, and as I was writing this chapter, I realized adding those event now would feel out of place. A quick replay of Chapter 11 might be needed to avoid possible bugs. I've also tweaked some "kickboxing" requirements that apparently made impossible to get to the master level during chapter 11, did you encounter this problem?
I also took the opportunity to tweak Seymour's scene in this last chapter, and add something I had in my mind but wasn't able to include. I wanted to save it for later, but it made so much sense to include it in this scene, and I had to.
Regarding the tournament itself; I knew I wanted to create a narrative-driven fighting system since before starting ORS, that's why I included the MMA training concept right from the start. I know it's not really integral to the plot of an erotic game, and some of you will skip entirely and wish I hadn't devoted the time I did (because, in the end, I made it way more complicated than I probably should).
But for those who try it, I hope you enjoy it; some tweaking and balancing is probably still needed, and I'm not entirely sure how easy it is to win or lose. I've tested it quite a lot and I believe it works as intended; it's been a real head-ache to build but I also had quite a lot of fun, so it's a side-quest I enjoyed and I hope the effort put into it translates into something fun and enjoyable for players too.
In any case, I'm very interested in hearing your thoughts and opinions, and, as always, please report any bugs you might come across down in the comments or through Discord (I suspect there's bound to be some plotholes that need to be filled in Ian's multiple relationships)

Loved the new update and content though I wasn’t a big fan of how Jeremy told Ian about Lena messing around. I liked the whole sneaking behind each others back aspect. Plus in my current play through Jeremy and Ian aren’t really that close. I wish there was a way to avoid that so hopefully in the future her actions can continue
I thought the tournament mechanic was great! I ran through it a couple of times, once with striking mastery and once with grappling, both fights were fun and exciting. It really keeps you on your toes! I especially appreciated how your opponent adapts their strategy based on the situation, very well thought out and realistic. Also, thanks for keeping the Gallery up to date. My playthroughs always end up being very Holly/Lena-centric with Ian but I enjoy checking out the other fun scenes too. :)
Lena always looks like a goddess. I like everything about her. I'm always waiting for more content from her, but everything else about the game is great too :)
Very nice, just 2 months after the last release, you deliver a new small chapter. Much better than the long waits for bigger chapters. You still deliver more than many other developers in shorter time :) . Since I was not "interested" in the tournament path, I did not get that much content with the alpha, but it was still nice to see my old friends again. They do look a littel odd in their summer clothes (Emma, Wade) - but then again very realistic if I think about my summer clothes :D . I will not tough the beta though and wait untill you have finished all the changes. Looking forward to it. Very good you changed to a healthier development cycle :) .
Was the Chapter 11 issue regarding kickboxing mastery related to sparring with Jeremy? If so, yes/maybe? I was unable to get Ian to best him.
No, that fight cannot be won, what has been fixed is that you can become a master of Kickboxing, before it was not possible and you could only master Jiu Jitsu
The fight scene in the tournament is intense and seems very well done to me. It is true that it is quite difficult and requires a some of trial and error, but I particularly loved it. The unexpected sex scene is just brutally cool and the expansion do it even better that previous, I love it, more Ian Unleashed with other LIs like Lena, please. I liked the StalkFap scene, but I think that in the version with sexy selfies but no private content, we should also include some of the photos taken in the session with Ian (the version with private content does show them). I am delighted to see that Ian's internal line of thought where he wondered about Lena's fidelity for no reason had been fixed and no appear.
