Final GGGB fan-art contest!
Hello guys!
As I'm working towards the release of Our Red String, hopefully at the end of next month, I wanted to stir things up a bit. I haven't been showing much because I didn't want to spoil anything yet.
During GGGB's run I did a couple fan-art contests. You can see the wonderful renditions people did in the image above! I absolutely love to see people's takes on my characters. Now that GGGB is finally over I wanted to make a final fan-art contest as a final goodbye to those characters and to pave the way for the new ones!
So, what's the prize? The chosen winners wills get early access to a special sneak peek of the new game, being able to see before anybody the art for the new characters and other special goodies! And the absolute winner will be able to play Our Red String v0.1 Alpha before any official release!
So, if you're interested in any of those rewards, you feel like contributing your art to the GGGB universe or you're just bored, participate on the contest! You can submit your art through the Community section or send it to me via private message until the 15th of March. Winners will be announced the 16th of March and prizes given shortly after.

Is this only for Patreons?
Anybody can participate :) it's a public contest! Though non patrons don't have access to the community tab I think, so they'll have to find another way to get it to me, maybe asking some other patron to post it for them or sending a link to me via pm

Yes, really fanarts are just super, each of them has their own uniqueness and originality. Yes, now we need to pave the way for others!
I am going to be perfectly honest; I am a bit unhappy with the lack of information about Our Red String. I can understand not wanting to give too much information too early, as things may get cut or changed. It’s not ideal to give false expectations, so it makes sense not to reveal things until they are set in stone. Likewise, you obviously don’t want to give away too many plot points as that would spoil some of the excitement in playing the game. But, at this stage, the idea seems to have been clear for a couple of months, and you have come so far as to potentially being able to release it in just a month. I cannot grasp why we couldn’t at least have gotten some information on the basic premise of the game – what it will fundamentally be about. Nor do I not understand why we couldn’t have gotten to see a couple of characters to get an idea of who they are. These factors appear like they have been decided on since a while back, and would have been really nice to find out about. Since the ending of GGGB, your number of patrons has decrease by almost 400, and I can’t help but think the lack of information is one of the reasons as to why. It has felt like a little bit of a limbo state these last months, even though I know you’ve been working very hard with the new game. I also can’t help to think that it’s somewhat of a missed opportunity to not show more. By releasing some information, showing some characters, you could have created a much greater hype for the game and get people talking about it. That could have benefitted you, while also satisfying our urge to find out more. In my opinion, you are the one of the best developers out there, and GGGB is my favourite game of all time. That opinion has not changed, but I felt I had to give my honest opinion here, and that I must be able to give constructive criticism, even though I think very highly of you and your work. I hope I have made points that make sense and sounds reasonable, because I am in no way intending to anything else.
Thanks for your opinion, that makes sense! I didn't want to show too much because there was a lot of work to be done (and still is) but mainly because I wanted to make the first impression as surprising as possible. That might've been a mistake, and maybe I've should have been sharing more stuff. I guess I've been so focused on the project and polishing GGGB up that I had zero time to think about community managing and such and that might've hurt me... But maybe I could start teasing and showing more stuff in this leading month! The truth is I can't wait to show it to you, ideally in playable form.
