Chapter 14.1 Status Report (12)
This is (hopefully) the last status update before the release of Chapter 14.1.1.
I’m playtesting, going over the text, editing, fixing things, coding sprites, music and sound effects, and I think I’ve got a more or less polished final version (though I’m sure there are still bugs and narrative inconsistencies hiding in there).
I’ve finished all the core content I wanted to include except for the final scene, which I’m honestly a bit stuck on. I’d rather not release the Alpha without it, but I’m already way behind the deadlines I set for myself to have the chapter ready, and I don’t want to keep delaying it any longer. My plan is to work on that scene while I keep editing and playtesting, and hopefully I’ll have it put together in the next few days.
I don’t want to give an exact release date because it’s already come back to bite me more than once during this chapter’s development, but I can say it’s almost ready to come out of the oven. I’ve been itching to publish all summer (I’ve spent all of August on the ‘final push’), but things always end up taking longer than you expect, and honestly these last steps have been pretty uphill. With some luck, in a few days I’ll be able to share the new content with you, and with even more luck, it will live up to expectations.

Is it just me that feels the updates are being delayed more and more with each one? Shame, as used to love the consistency with this dev. :(
Not really he stated that he wants to do much bigger updates but less frequent. Also he moved. But yeah I feel your frustration. I think its probably better to keep the more frequent style with smaller updates. But fingers crossed. The update could drop every moment :)

Like I voted for when you asked us, I prefer that you release the update as you envisioned it originally. It matters little if I have to wait a few more days, if you think that's what you need, to make the final piece of content.

Looking forward to the release but please finish the last scene in ORS style. That makes the game so good and is why I subscribed. The perfect quality of the story and artwork. I don't mind to wait a bit longer.
Please continue to maximize plot, character, art, animation and world building development, making sure everything mends together as cohesive as possible I can’t tell you just how many pieces of media I’ve seen whether it be a series of movies, or seasons of a TV show to where the first part of it is great and has so much promise, to only then go to shit later, it’s incredibly disheartening to see something you like go to shit Clearly ORS doesn’t have this problem or else it wouldn’t be as successful it is today, if you’re ever in doubt about the amount of time something is taking, so long as the aforementioned things I listed above stay the same quality, or improve, or you catch yourself dicking around for long periods of time (this happens to all of us no one’s perfect), unless an update is taking 6+ months to release treat the amount of time something is taking/took to make as barely an after thought, having a rough idea of when you want something to be finished is fine, but don’t pigeon hole yourself into conforming to that interval, that’s how quality can diminish by rushing it (I’m sure you’re aware of this, this is to just bring it to the front of your thoughts) Have the legacy of GGGB, ORS and hopefully more after, be one that significantly improved the whole way through, from the macro, being game to game, and the micro being throughout the events that happen in the game itself, strive for the ending of the game no matter the paths one picks in the game to be the best of what ORS has to offer
