I think Dave is a good character in the sense that he and Eric act as "good-guy" counter-balances towards Jack and Tyrone's "bad boy" imagery. He also provides a contrast to Eric's mercenary "goodness" endeavor (remember Eric said he though doing humanitarian work in Africa would land him a good job in the future?). Dave is thus similar to in this sense to Jack in that he lives mainly in the "here and now", but without the manipulating "player" mentality. Dave strikes me as a bit self-centered, but not from an egotistical sense, more in the sense that he is fully devoted towards his hobby and the creation process, that he is not always attuned to what is going on around him. This may in fact prove for an interesting scene should Ashley try to seduce him. On the other hand, it may be Ashley who notices Dave getting aroused by her, but desperately trying to hide it, and then it is up to Ashley to address the matter in whatever way she sees fit. :p
If only the author does not intend to touch the theme of swingers. )))) Then Dave and Eric can be well built up. ))
Dave and Eric also seem to me like something, but can Dave be fashionable with someone? For example, with Jessica ... As one of the options. Turn from such a modest man into a hot stallion! Or Erica ..
yeah, but i thought the game/story is about ashley becoming a good girl or a bad girl not dave being transformed into some kind of superstud!?
At first, I found Dave to just be a boring Eric clone. But the modelling scene was pretty nice. That said, I think I need to know more about him before I decide if I want to pursue his path or not. I need a good conversation scene, because right now I know very little about what his goals are and what his personality is. But I trust Eva to deliver!
I think that Eva can add some more dialogue scenes where the options only add some characterization (and good or bad points), without adding more branching story paths. Would give a lot of development with less variable tracking, which is needed sometimes.
i get nothing from dave, dead end artist (boring) though the modelling is fun, unless ashley seduces him to get back at eva for being a bitch! but then again if eva has jack why should she careanyway, or it's just another conquest for (bad) ashley i.e been there done that!
Oh, I'm sure Eva WOULD care! Remember when Ashley asks her about Dave, she replies that she has feelings for Dave but that she "want to live her life". Also, she wouldn't like Dave hooking up with Ashley because that would suggest that Ashley has a "1-up" on Eva, and Eva of course wants to be the baddest broad in town with all the men pining for her and her alone. :)
Do we think Dave will seduce Ashley or Bad Ashley will seduce Dave?
I think that it can happen in several ways. Dave could have a crush on Ashley - but doesn't act on it (because he is a fairly nice guy) unless Ashley spills the beans on Eva's possible infidelity and shows some interest in him. Another possible chain of events would be Bad Ashley straight up seducing him (payback because Eva doesn't accept and support her decisions like Jessica does)... Being nude probably helps a lot.
To paraphrase Ashley... Dave is too good for Eva ;)
Especially since he doesn't sideline his hot girlfriend in the middle of a life crisis to go play saint in Africa. ;)
