YOUTUBE - Basics Part 2 | Star Trek Fans First Time Watching Voyager

Amazing how much of the stuff they say would be better here describes some later seasons of Red Dwarf.

The universal translators are built into the combadges for starfleet personnel

Crewman: "Captain. I have a deathly allergic reaction to worms." Janeway: "Our science has cured all allergies." Crewman: "Deathly...allergic...reaction."

Opinion on this conclusion can be summed up in a single word: "Yeah."

Tonight on Voyager, Die Hard in Space pt2. Quark and Rom have the implanted but I believe the Federation Universal Translators are in the combadge. As a tech they’ve never really made sense. Things like not translating Klingon expressions etc.

For some reason I was not expecting this to be posted for like another month
