I like seeing the Doc' getting to do something beyond being just the EMH for the crew for the first time, but this...? Would rather watch 'The 13th Warrior' for my draggy Beowulf tale.
Now I'm thinking we should've made them watch the Red Dwarf 'Holodeck' episode
Not my favorite episode, but a good one for the Doctor's character development. Kind of on the fence between B/C, but I'll give it a B (but really it's a B-/C+) for it being the first episode where the Doctor takes center stage. Holodeck shenanigans, weird aliens, and the Doctor playing the hero. Still pretty good even if it's the first "bad" episode of the series.

Big budget space TV show where you are trying to explore a new quadrant and build out the characters and you do a high school level Lord of the Rings style knockoff of an ancient play... Why?
Because … “big budget space TV show where you are trying to explore a new quadrant and build out the characters.” 😊 Some episodes have to be sacrificed in both story and budget. I, however, didn’t mind this one.
