Paramount+ is getting real close to making me dig up my physical Star Trek collection and dump their as*.
Yeah I had to do that already. I'll just say, it feels so much better watching on DVD and Blu-ray.
I'm already a patron, but I want to chime in on this Paramount strike being SO DUMB. The only reason I have a Paramount+ account right now is to do ST watchalongs with you.
I have a question and this probably isn't the place for it but hey ho someone might know! Do these fellas have plans to keep going with all ST? Because I've thought repeatedly just in my little YouTube binge that they would LOVE Lower Decks, and I've been hoping to see reactions appear... One day in the probably quite distant future 😅
I love Lower Decks but it's jokes reference things in DS9, Voyager, Enterprise, Discovery etc that they wouldn't even pick up on yet. I think their plan was always to keep going with trek shows in the future. It looks like they've completed 14 out of 50+ seasons so I'll be following them forever. ^_^
Its awesome to see others enjoy/react to Star Trek for the first time. I was the only one in my family that loved/loves the franchise, minus the new stuff post Enterprise.
Thank you for opening this tier member list, i cant afford much right now so having a small way to show support and watch along while youtube is being silly is nice <3
I had to laugh at the YouTube comment that was like: “Hey, Paramount, why are you only striking Voyager videos? Where’s the DS9 love?!? Tired of being the middle child!” 😑
Long time lurker, first time Patron… 😜 I’ve been a YouTube follower since the algorithm suggested your “Measure of a Man” reaction (my favorite episode of all time), and I haven’t missed an episode on YT since. I couldn’t pass up this chance to throw y’all a little bone, and I’ll upgrade at my earliest opportunity. Having two little kiddos leaves very little extra disposable fundage, but you guys are worth it and I have a severe lifelong case of stick-it-to-da-man-iosis. (If you haven’t seen School of Rock with Jack Black, I can’t recommend it highly enough!) Keep up the good work! ❤️🖖
Thanks for the support! School of Rock is one of my favorite movies 🔥
Just signed up when I found out they struck your video. I want to warn you not to watch the opening credits for DS9 S 4 Ep 1.
Definitely a fair warning, but it generally seems to be TA policy that anything that would have been a "naturally occurring spoiler" is something that they're fine experiencing the way we did. Also, I hate to point out the obvious, but just by giving them that warning, you've all but blurted out "A cast member is leaving or joining in Season 4!" So, y'know... when you weigh that against the 50/50 chance of them not noticing the change in the first place, I'd argue the warning does a lot more harm than good. For future reference.
Paramount Execs - "STOP BEING FANS OF OUR PRODUCT!! YOU'RE WATCHING US WRONG!!" I don't understand how some folks' minds work.... if at all
Seriously. An edited reaction is basically a free commercial.
