You should listen to Pink Floyd off the wall if you’re gonna listen to more of Pink Floyd, but this is a good one to start with

This is back when music had both quiet parts and loud parts

PF is on the Mt. Rushmore of artists, DSoTM is one of the great albums. Timeless themes with radio friendly melodies and soundscapes. The 70s was arguably the greatest decade for music.

Glad you enjoyed Josh! I first listened to DSOTM at uni about 25 years ago and I've built my love of Floyd since then, with The Wall being my favourite (but Animals and Wish You Were Here are also excellent!). The Wall would be a good listen for you as an album that is a "whole performance", although there's plenty of albums in that category out there that I'm sure we can help you out with 😊

Watching this reaction made me ridiculously happy. Welcome to Floyd. As Ben Kenobi once said, “you’ve taken your first step into a larger world.”

Animals!!! Please!?

At some point you will realize the connections to star trek, sci fi in general, pink floyd, Beatles, prog rock in general, marvel, Douglas Adams, btw you need to react to hitchikers guide to the Galaxy tv series, so many things from that era.

Yeah but judging by their Red Dwarf react they won't like them 😂

I understand. My dad and brother both died at 46. I'm 66 \o/ (btw been a sax player since I was 10!) Still playing!

Can't wait until he listens to RUSH'S 2112!

Good reaction, Josh. All I got to say is........2112 by Rush.

Am about to listen to this, Josh....been awhile since I've listened to this anyway. I'm just amazed at how many kids your age...sorry...young adults your age have never listened to it. I was a staple in my album and 8 track collection in the 70's and 80's to this day. CD now of course.

Wish You Were Here is my favorite Floyd album, but it might be more interesting to check out their first album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, when their founding leader Syd Barrett was running the show. Very different flavor in that era.

Wish You Were Here should be next.

Dark Side, WYWH, Animals and The Wall need to be done in order.

My favorite album of all time is Pink Floyd's The Wall, so it would be great to hear what Josh thinks about that too. It all just blurs together into one great, terrible story. EDIT: It's also heavy on the lyrics.

An 8 minute song isn't even long by Pink Floyd standards.

Should’ve watched wizard of oz while listening.

If you are more lyrical minded, I think you would enjoy Rush. They are referred to as "The thinking man's band" with some of the most thought provoking intelligent words I've ever heard sung.

Beam me up Mr. Scott. If you dig this, I'd love to see your reaction to Radiohead: OK Computer

Josh does such great sharing of inner thoughts, so good to follow and enjoy - i'm transported to my youth in this album, nothing like Pink Floyd- thanks again Josh

Oh hell yeah this is all based as fuck. As if I couldn't enjoy ya even more.

Josh needs to get into prog. The songs go places, they often blend together, etc.
