YOUTUBE - The Search Part 2 | Star Trek Fans First Time Watching DS9

Ok that intro sent me into the most happiness a POC in MN can feel right about now 🥹

There were no Romulans in Future Imperfect

Man, the comments are killing me. I'm sorry you guys have been spoiled on so many things. So many unspoiled reactions potentially ruined. The Defiant comments... 🤦‍♂️

FUN FACT: Jonathan Frakes obviously liked guest star Salome Jen's enough to direct her twice (TNG "The Chase" and DS9 "The Search Part II") playing the same type of alien - appearance wise and vocally as well. Which begs an interesting question as to whether the two species are connected/related

Comments need a 'think before you post' warning that pops up before you can hit send reminding you that if your comment wouldn't have been possible when the episode was broadcast, it probably should be rewitten before sending. I see way too many along the lines of 'I can't wait for you to get to...', 'it's only better from here' etc.which are well intentioned but do spoil the fun of the guys discovering this stuff for themselves.

Another episode of Deanna pulling faces... I wanted giant changeling space pirate ship :( Haha, yeah this is why I'm here. I'm seeing in my mind all that's still to come and I'm smiling. This is why I joined ahead of you guys starting DS9. Though I wish you had time to throw in a clip of Odo getting clonked by a boulder in Vortex.

And we're on the road to gold baby. Glad the work got you cause your reaction was awesome to watch. Looking forward for what's to come. 🖖

Episode writing credits are complicated. A showrunner (Behr) might do some additional work on a submitted script, or they might assign another writer to do a 'polish'. Moore himself has done this kind of once-over on other TNG scripts, but was not credited. The Writers Guild rules are exacting in terms of who gets credited for what work.

Consider Quark, Garak and everyone else who was not on the Defiant were created out of the memories of the crew. This is how they see Quark, Garak and Nechaev in their minds. I love the Defiant. Something never discussed on the show so not a spoiler is the slogan on its commissioning plate. The Enterprise’s is “To boldly go…” where the Defiant’s is “Assimilate this…”

what happened to part one??

DS9 season 3 only gets one solo episode in before a Voyager tease. Got to say, historically accurate!

Lol with the headshots of Ron and Frakes on these 2 episodes. Thanks for making this available right as I'm about to leave work so I can listen to it immediately.
