Okay I have finally got over you stopping BSG and I have been loving the DS9 reactions so you suckered me back into to patreon audience :D Keep it up fellas, best reactors I watch - can't wait to go through the rest of this show with ya.
FYI, another change was that Dax got promoted from Lt. to Lt. Commander.
Wow you guys edited out the part where you were talking about whether the trader guy Quark meets was a redesign of Eris species from the Season 2 finale. Guess that was a pointless question.
I think they were wondering if it was a redesign of the Dosi from Rules of Acquisition?
One of my favorite things about this episode was being totally focused on how Deanna Troi's face constantly changed and shifted on Alex's shirt. lol
Part of getting across that the Defiant is a prototype is that the phaser volley isn't exactly precise. It seems like it fires roughly where the target is and then the movement of the ship strafes the target. It's pure muscle over finesse.
Sending crewmates potentially to their deaths is part of Starfleet. Troi's bridge officer/commander's test involved her ordering holo LaForge on a suicide mission. You are a very good guesser, Alex.
Poor only YouTube people having to wait…..
Ronald D. Moore with Gene Roddenberry it’s a little before 1994 but the closest I could find for early 90s https://share.google/RvwuewT8mYCu52o0N This one is from 1992 of the TNG Writing staff - https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fstatic.wikia.nocookie.net%2Fmemoryalpha%2Fimages%2Fb%2Fbb%2FTNG_writing_staff%252C_1992.jpg%2Frevision%2Flatest%3Fcb%3D20130418131420%26path-prefix%3Den&tbnid=6uqNqnuY80zulM&vet=1&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fmemory-alpha.fandom.com%2Fwiki%2FRonald_D._Moore&docid=QKgepPP7zPNgBM&w=911&h=624&hl=en-US&source=sh%2Fx%2Fim%2Fm4%2F0&kgs=de236e57571129d6
Synchronized “oh Go fuck yourself!” 👌🏻
I’m in the patron for xfiles, but I found your channels through Star Trek. one of the things I like about all your reactions is that you aren’t afraid to dislike things. I may not always agree with your takes good or bad, but you always explain your feelings about them clearly. I hate when people just say it’s great or it’s terrible as if that somehow is the end of a discussion rather than the beginning.
Yeah, agreed. There are too many reactors who are clearly faking it over how much they 100% love every single thing about a show they watch, just to avoid upsetting fans. I appreciate Alex and Josh are brutally honest with their opinions. At least that way we know we're watching honest reactions.
This is now the third time I have watched this reaction since becoming a patron on Friday. The first time, my copy wouldn't sync up correctly as my version was nearly 90 seconds shorter than yours and kept moving ahead of you. The second time was after acquiring a copy of matching length and happily not having to re-sync every 5 minutes. And now we have the YouTube version for the third and it's still puts a smile on my face Pump that **** into my veins!
A few months ago I was talking about this whole experience of watching 80s and 90s Trek. He said "Of course you will like DS9 more than TNG, then he asked me if I ever heard of The Defiant. I said "yes, its the ship Kirk got trapped in when he got lost in the Tholian Web. " He looked at me so strangely.
Technically, you were not wrong. Take comfort in that In every other way, you very much were..... but not technically ;)
Knowing that you are ahead, I think its safe to openly say that you made some interesting predications there! Looking forward to your reaction to part 2 now.
I get so much joy watching your reactions and listening to your speculations. Watching with you guys has given me a whole new perspective, especially with episodes I used to think sucked!!! Keep up the good work!
