PATRON TIER LIST - TNG S7E24 - Preemptive Strike

A much better intro to this conflict than Journey's End. I'd even take it over DS9's Maquis two-parter.

Picard's look at the end "This is why I don't have children."

Michelle Forbes is superb, and it's a great and appropriate departure for the character. There is a definite understanding between her and Riker at the end, and he sympathises with her and her cause.

A for the acting, B for the plot. It's too obvious throughout.

Basically Brainwashed By Belligerent "Band of Brothers", Badly Behaving Bajoran Beauty Betrays Benefactor Boss, Breaking Bond Between 'Best Buddies'. Big Bummer. Good drama, but rejecting Starfleet is starting to become a trope so soon after Jake and Wesley did the same thing. I'm also not a fan of the whole concept of the Maquis. B.
