Getting the TOS klingons in this episode was absolutely awesome and Terri Ferrell is fantastic!

I loved the way one of the Official Star Trek novels handled the difference in KIngons back in the day. Just as there are different races, in the Klingon Empire there were different races. During STTOS, that was a different race ruling at the time. No forehead ridges. They were eventually overthrown (which, they kind of were) and the new ruling race/family was this particular race with the head ridges. I thought it was a neat and tidy way to deal with it. So of course Hollywood promptly ignores it. This is the way.

I don’t care about’popping’ for something. The first time I watched it I had not as an adult seen the TOS episodes so being from the TOS era meant little to me. I didn’t care for the revenge plot. Also having poor vision I still wouldn’t have known them had I known.

How dare you not “pop” when you’re supposed to! 😉
