PATRON TIER LIST - DS9 S2E18 - Profit and Loss

Solid Casablanca fun and always nice to see even average Garak.

Armin Shimmerman and Andrew Robinson saved this episode from being a total flop with their masterful performance 👌

SPOILER ALERT: Natima shot J.R.

A from me. I thoroughly enjoy this one.

Garage was never fooled but there was initially no downside to turning them in. When it became apparent that not only was it not going to help him but was going to help Gul whatshisname’s career he decided to help Quark. Being owed a favor, even if is just selling more clothes to Ferengi is just icing on the cake.

It’s one of those episode that’s just ok

Creepy Conman Clearly Craves Cardassian Chick's Cleavage. Charisma 0 Chemistry 0 Character Compatibility 0 Conclusion: C

The 2 students have awful space acting but I like Mary Crosby and Quark, Garak and Odo are as always great. A strong episode.

I remember not being very interested in the romantic plot between Quark and his lost love, but on rewatch this is an entertaining episode. Garak elevates the episode.

A for me. Who would have thought we would get a compelling, deep, politically entwined romance with QUARK?!? Not on my DS9 bingo card before I watched.

I have to downgrade this by one tier, because the idea that Garak would be fooled even partly by the promise of his exile ending....that just doesn't line up with the character (even in a romantic comedy story).
