April, somewhere between | sims 4 loading screens

We’re officially hopping into April… (yes, I had to do it lol). When I think about April, I think about Jesus — His full ascension, the cost it took to get there. I also think about my favorite (spring) animes, soft moments, and those quiet in-between months where things feel a little slower… a little more reflective.

The quote for this month comes from one of my favorite worship songs, Menorah Reprise (Running Back To You) by Jackie Hill Perry & Madison Ryann Ward:

“-And I am running back to You, I see You standing there for me, Your arms are open wide, I don’t have to cry no more”

Now… about Menorah Reprise.

I was in prayer thinking about what I wanted to say / do for this month, and I kept coming back to this song. Not even on purpose… it just wouldn’t leave me alone.

And those lyrics specifically:

“And I am running back to You
I see You standing there for me…”

So I went digging and landed on John 20:11–16 (specifically 14–16), and this part just stuck with me:

At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.
He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?”
Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”

Jesus said to her, “Mary.”
She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).

And I don’t know… that just got me. Like imagine grieving, thinking you’ve lost everything, talking to someone you think is a stranger… and it’s actually Him. Right there. So.....

“I see You standing there for me.”

That line hit completely different after that. Because He wasn’t gone. He was there the whole time. And I love that reminder… that we’re never too far from God’s presence, even when we don’t recognize it right away....With that being said, I hope this set brightens your path throughout the month of April.
