Sooo about this update....

Update (again, because EA loves to keep us on our toes): EA is now aware of the “Failed to launch game”. Sooo if your game isn’t launching at all… it’s not you, it’s them (shocking, I know).

Update: EA says it’s fixed, but add your CC back in small batches and check Scarlet’s Realm first (for mod compatability). I’m still testing mine—full update coming soon.

Yesterday update: EA says a fix is coming in 15 hours… so the mods might make it after all. Stay calm. Stay offline.

EA dropped an update today and let’s just say… mods did not survive the impact.

We’re talking:
✦ Mods not working
✦ Mods not showing up
✦ Mods straight up disappearing

And this, my loves, is exactly why I beg y’all to back up everything… yes, even your mods.

✦ Play offline if you can
✦ Do NOT update your game if you haven’t already
✦ Be patient with creators while they fix everything (they’re in the trenches right now)

EA has already said they’re investigating, so… we’ll see how that goes.

I haven’t checked my own mods yet, but you already know I’ll report back as soon as I do.

In the meantime, here’s the guide I made a while ago to help you survive this little… situation:

• Grab your favorite bev, because we’re staying hydrated while saving our games. 🍵ྀི ₊ ⊹

• Backup your saves + Tray files. Don’t risk your legacy family for the bit.

• How not to update.
Here’s how:
 ❶ Open up your EA App.
 ❷ Click the hamburger lines (top-left corner).
 ❸ Go to Settings → Downloads.
 ❹ Toggle off “Update games automatically.”

Small step for going offline:

❶ Open up your EA App.
❷ Click the hamburger lines (top-left corner).
❸ Click go offline
