Black and White
A midnight zoo visit sounded like so much fun. And it was, until some of the animals got loose.
I ended up in the ER with a bite wound as big as my fist. Not to mention being traumatized by the whole thing.
It's been a month, and I still flinch at every crosswalk. White paint on black asphalt.
Tonight, I feel queasy. The moon is shining through my window as sweat prickles my skin. The bones in my hands and feet crack and meld into hooves as my skin bulges and tears, exposing a black and white coat underneath.
