Dev Blog: Birthday Barbecues, Coffee Dates, and Multi-Game Bug Squashing!

We are back with another behind the scenes update on what’s cooking at Candylight Studio.

Here is what we’ve been working on:

🥳 Birthday Bashes & Coffee Dates

• Michelle’s Birthday Barbecue: You'll be heading over to George's place for a backyard celebration in honor of Michelle's birthday. It’s a chance to see the characters in a different, more relaxed environment, though things might still get heated.

• Coffee with Kate: A more intimate, one-on-one encounter where you'll get to spend some quality time with Kate.

🔥 NSFW Content & Variations: Both the George/Michelle event and the Kate event will feature one brand new NSFW scene each. True to our commitment to meaningful choices, both of these scenes will have different variations depending on the decisions and relationships you've forged up to this point.

🏛️ Back to the Mystery

Once this upcoming social section wraps up, the narrative will pivot back to the core intrigue of the game. The MC will turn his focus inward, continuing to explore deeper into the mansion to piece together the clues and figure out what is actually going on behind Zach's closed doors.

🔊 Audio & Bug Fixes

• Sound Effects: Our audio implementation sprint continues! We are actively expanding and layering in more custom SFX to make the environments feel as tactile and immersive as possible.

• Sunday Build Cleared: A huge thank you to our Level 5 patrons who jumped into the Early Access build this past Sunday. Thanks to your prompt reports, we caught a handful of bugs and have successfully eliminated them from the working version.

🕹️ Cross-Game Support: The Lust City 2 Updates

We don't believe in leaving our past titles behind. We recently noticed a thread in the Steam discussions for The Lust City 2 where players were reporting a couple of lingering bugs.

We took some time out of our schedule this week to jump back into that codebase and fix those issues! We are currently testing the fixes alongside the new Passion's Playground content. Once testing wraps up, updated versions of The Lust City 2 will be pushed to GOG, Steam, and Patreon later this week.
