February Haslam E-book Freebie - Book of Draftings No. 2 circa 1932

This download is now archived.

For this month's Haslam E-book freebie, many of you requested 1930s and one of you even asked for a book I haven't posted here yet, making my choice very easy indeed! (Thank you, Erin :)  )

So without further ado, I present the Haslam Book of Draftings No. 2 from circa 1932.

The 8 patterns include dresses, coats, jackets, and suits. This is one of the earliest spring supplement books published so it's a bit smaller than most of them. At this point in Haslam history, frankly, we are lucky that Miss Haslam was kind enough to illustrate the clothing designs for us at all!

Year: 1932.

The e-book is 17 pages of patterns and illustrations. The photos with black and white/ sepia illustrations show you all of the pattern drafts included in this book.

Since I have such a large collection of vintage pattern catalogs from this era, I also included several pages from the 1932 McCall Catalogs and Quarterlies that featured designs that are very similar to the included draftings.

These are to provide you with styling, accessorizing, and fabric choice inspiration for period-correct sewing.

--For any of our Newbies...

To use these patterns, you will need the foundation dress pattern from the Haslam system and the dressmaking chart. That is not included with this booklet but can be found here.

I hardly wear dresses but these are so lovely! I may turn them into tops though!
