Circle Skirt fun and a video!
Hello, my dears!
I hope you've spent a happy weekend being creative and maybe making yourself something pretty.
I've spent the last week working with my friend Stephanie Canada while she made a video. She filmed, (rather hilariously, I might add) her creative chaotic process of making not one but two holiday-themed circle skirts using my pattern No. 3202A.

You know, that pattern that we had planned to do a sew-along for before poor Mr. Depew's body tried to give up the ghost and all hell broke loose :)
I'm sorry that a sew-along for that didn't work out, but I hope those of you who were here back in August/ September enjoyed the free pattern. If anyone wants to try sewing the skirt and wants any help, just let me know!
I did manage to finish my skirt in October while looking after my little invalid and it was a pretty fun, easy project.
I realized as I was sewing that, much to my eternal shame, I was incredibly rusty at it. I have spent far too much time designing patterns and trying to make a living from them, and far too little time actually sewing them in the last few years. I suddenly felt very unqualified to help anyone with their sewing as I stumbled quite pathetically over sipper insertion. How had I managed to go nearly 8 years without sewing a zipper into something? (To be fair, I do make a lot of zipperless lingerie).
This made me a bit sad and I hope to rectify that in 2024 and get back into the fun of sewing again.
Anyway, be sure to check out Stephanie's great video, and be sure to catch the pattern giveaway and coupon code at the end!
Did any of you find time to make yourself a skirt? If so, how did it go for you?
x.o.x.o.,
Anna
