This download is now archived.
This is a digital draft-at-home pattern for a French tunic-style dress from 1950. The eye-catching design details on this ensemble are centered on the back view which features a marvelous v-neckline finished with a pointed collar. Bracelet-length sleeves are fitted with darts and the tunic portion of the skirt has flat ruffles that are turned back and held in place with buttons.
This is a great opportunity to use up some of those wonderful vintage buttons you know you've been hoarding for just the right project!
Fabric: this pattern requires approximately 3 meters of 140 cm wide fabric (about 3 1/3 yards of 55").
The original source material gave limited fabric requirements estimated for a 98 cm bust size. More or less may be required depending on the size you choose to draft.
Enjoy!
