Lingerie Pattern Freebie - A 1930s Negligee
To celebrate my favorite time of year (that would be lingerie sewing season) I have a special pattern for free for all members!
This is a cutting and draping tutorial for a lovely draped night gown or neglige from 1932. The pattern for two different versions was originally published for the newspaper column of a "Fashion Expert" named Daré.
I have digitally enhanced the images but the instructions are the exact wordings used by the original designer. Our "Fashion Expert" was a French woman writing in English and her conversational style of writing is quite unique.
It is not necessary to print this pattern if you don't want to. The "Pattern" given is a very easy to follow set of instructions for cutting and draping a certain measurement of fabric with several drawings and diagrams.
Difficulty level: Intermediate.
Sizing: Because this garment is easily draped, it can be made in any size.
Enjoy!
