So I went to Pattern Con 2025...
... and let me tell you. That is the most fun I've had in years!
2 full days of being surrounded by MY pattern people, all speaking the same proverbial language and all there to learn something new. What an amazing environment!
This was my first in-person event (hey, I'm really shy) and my first time teaching a class since I taught high school French many many years ago.
Even Mr. Depew came to help me run my vendor table and do the heavy lifting! Let's face it, with an auto-immune montage and one working kidney, I needed the help.
The whole weekend, I felt like superwoman, my usual fatigue drained away and I felt like I was running on pure, high-octane joy.
My class was how to draft a vintage pattern using my scale ruler (draft-at-home system), and I had simply the best students and a wonderful time teaching what I'm passionate about.
I will be writing a LOT more in the weeks to come about just how incredible Pattern Con was both for myself, and the other attendees I've spoken with.
Next year it will be held in Atlanta and I'll be there again with bells on!
xoxo,
Anna

I’m very sad I only heard about this afterwards, but excited that it will happen again next year.

It was wonderful, wasn't it!? Really looking forward to next year!
See you there!
I so would have loved to have gone to this.
Maybe you can join us next year? I'd love to meet you in person!
