Shadow The Hedgehog - Custom Model
VIDEO LINK
This is a fun project that I've been working on for the last few weeks.
Fully custom model of my own "Mobian" style Sonic body, textured with Shadow's apperance. With varying creative choices.
I spent 11 hours alone on the shoes. Poly modeling and textured in Substance Painter. "Did I cook too hard with them?"... maybe.
This model is full body compatible in VRChat. That's why his body isn't the normal Mobian style of massive hands and feet with short and skinny tube limbs.
This model might become a public download in the future.
The constant comments that he looks like "ugly Sonic" haven't exactly movitated me to even do so anymore.

it actually looks like a interesting base definitely wouldn't mind giving it a try in vrchat, whenever you finish it
Anyone commenting on ugly sonic is referring to the proportions being more human-like, but that face and head is pretty good, and miles better than that mistake Paramount tried to sell us. People need to calm down because this is far from ugly. I'd wear it for sure in VR.
The shoes are too cool for Sonic, so be proud about those shoes. If anything, the only thing I would change is that the eyebrows could be all-red and thinner. The current version makes them look like black marker is on the eyebrows. Other than that, I can't say there's a problem with how they look!
This is friggin amazing 🤩🤩🤩 he looks great dude!!
Really love the way you styled him! And you popped off with the shoes, they look insane
Love that you made a Shadow model, I love Shadow
Damn man that's pretty sick! Love the detail in the eyes
I think he's awesome! Would so enjoy having that model in Shadow generations of it was doable X3
Why does he have 4 eyebrows? I'm beginning to wonder if you understand the appeal of this kind of character design...
I actually like em, though I'm not much of a sonic fan.
Now make him fat lol
Ooooooo I’m curious what will come with this later~
Ignore the 'ugly sonic' comments, he looks amazing! Incredibly unique style and the detail on those shoes is absurd!
