The Fly (1958) Review

I think I recall reading on TV Tropes years back that playboy used to host a multitude of short stories from surprisingly esteemed authors before focusing purely on porn. I take everything on that site with a grain of salt, but I'm not surprised that The Fly story originated there. While I've never seen the film, this quick overview has gotten me curious to watch it. I'm pleasantly surprised to see the story taken seriously, and even be played for tragedy for a concept that could have easily been corny.

Yeah this is a gorgeous movie and The Fly effects are really good. Somehow middle school me was engaged with the drama rather than being disappointed the afflicted man wasn't going around killing people for their blood or something.
