An Update? Really?
Here's an overview of what to expect for the rest of the year.
tl;dr, tentative release schedule:
-Godman & Greenman (Late May)
-Mebius (Early to mid June)
-Ultraman X (July/August)
-Toho Halloween Special (Segments released when they're done throughout the summer)
The next big project is the Mebius video, potentially releasing next month. I'm hoping to make this one shorter than the average Ultra Retrospective, I don't plan on giving a summary of the plot outside of non-spoilery details. There's not much I can say at this point, it'll come out eventually.
Smaller projects: The next Ultra Gaiden will be on Greenman & Godman. That could potentially see release before the Mebius video, I really don't have to watch all 8 hours of either show, having already done that for Greenman, for reasons that will become apparent. I'm hoping to highlight some of the notable moments in both shows.
Ultraman X is another small project, might be able to do that while I'm working on the Halloween special. Hopefully. It's only 22 episodes, I'll be fine. Hopefully.
The big project, one I expect to be working on all Summer, is the Toho Halloween special. Frankly, I can't decide which movies to cover. I don't really care about their fantasy movies, I want to cover their disaster movies because they're worth seeing, but I know if I cover one and not the other I'll be opening myself up to derision for ignoring a particular genre. Corners will likely need to be cut if I plan on making this the big 4-5 part Halloween special in October, but I hope I can get this done. Lots of extra research is required for each movie, I don't wanna have an 8 minute segment dedicated to Rodan but only 2 minutes to something like Submersion of Japan, ya dig?
Sooo that's the state of things. Been giving myself the break that I think I deserve, but now's about the time where I need to get back to work. Might have to cut some of these, might be able to make it to the end of the year in one piece, but that's where we're at. Thank you for being Patrons.
