Hi everyone!
Say hi to this cute little fella! Since we already have the carnivorous leaf nosed Bat, I thought it would be fun to make it's vegetarian cousin... the Fruit Bat (aka. Flying Fox)!
This Fruit Bat has an entirely new head sculpt and a similar yet revised body sculpt.
It also includes the same features as the original Bat: Rubber Band powered flappy wings, clawed feet for hanging upside down, stands when balanced on its feet and tail, and multiple holding head positions (Head positions pictured above on the original bat). The Fruit Bat uses size #12 rubber bands in its wings, like These Rubber Bands***
I also bought an Assorted bag from Staples, which did include size #12.
Size #12 is 1-3/4" when measured flattened. (Not Diameter)
3D PRINTING SETTINGS
Body: Print-In-Place. Built-in Brim.
Head: Snap-Fit to Body. Built-in Pre-Support. No additional support.
5-15% Infill.
3 Walls.

how can I get the design if I already have it

I made one but forgot to change the walls to 3, but it should work fine right?
I've tried to print this twice and both times the wings were fused solid. I had no problems printing the beardie, or the snakes. Am I doing something wrong?
Hmmm. That definitely shouldn't happen. Can you email me some pictures (matmire.makes@gmail.com) so I can see what you're dealing with, or even better, post them in the #troubleshooting channel on Discord and we can try and solve it as a group.

I love Ziro filament and I’m guessing you might have causes the Starry Sky to go out of stock, lol. Hopefully it will be back soon. Love this little bat

So how do I download the file?
Go to the pinned “current download links” post (that post is also linked above) then click on the Fruit Bat link. It will open a separate page with a download button in the upper right hand corner.

I don't mean this rude at all. I've not gotten to print one of your bats before. Is this the same as the other bat, just minus the fangs?
No worries. It’s a completely different head design. The body design is a little bit different but is mostly the same as the original. The chest is more puffed up and has a bit more of a fuzzy texture and the wings have a different silhouette on the last section.
Super excited! Have one going for the wife currently. Any chance we can get the bat body without the brims?
I just added a noBrim body file to the download.
Oh my Goodness! He is the custest EVER!!! My Grandson is going to be soo excited to have another bat friend for his collection! I just love him! Plus being a vegetarian myself, this little guy fits me!! Can't wait to bring him to life!!!
really like how you have the head angled for printing, makes using transitional plastic look more natural... be cool of some of the others to get that angle.

Very excited about this one! Can you tell us which filament you used? If you wanted to link to it via an Amazon affiliate link when you release a model we could get the info, and you could get a little extra!
