3D PRINTING SETTINGS
Body: Print-In-Place. No Supports (Aside from a Brim)
Head: Snap-Fit to Body. Requires Support "Touching Buildplate". (I like "Tree" supports)
Good bed adhesion is a must! I highly suggest using a BRIM or RAFT to make sure the tail stays upright as the segments build.
New:
- Body with custom Brim (Print-in-Place, Brim geo is built in so no need to generate one.)
- Head with custom Brim (Easily Snap-Fit to Body, Requires Supports)
15-20% Infill.
3 Walls.
For a demonstration of how I use Cura's support blockers to print the Head and Body at the same time, please check out this video. It's super easy!

Here is a quick video showing the easiest method for snap-fitting the head onto the body: https://youtu.be/DWsYu2BY7ow
Scale to your liking! 100% creates a 10" Axolotl, so that will make it easy to scale it to your desired size. (80% = 8", 75% = 7.5", etc.) Depending on your printer tolerances, you should be able to print close to 60-65% before the joint function may start to become compromised. YMMV

Updated slicer and now I'm having paint issues. Any thoughts on this?
I bought this last night and just printed this today. I love this so much!
Are you gonna start a discord?
I was thinking about it. I'll look into that today. Thanks!
Cinderwing does the same. Also has a website for past months, hex3d does something similar. Definitely heading in the right direction!
Awesome!
Flexi factory uses the same method and it works great for me. Easy to find.
Great! I’ll stick with this for now. Also, woooo! You’re my first Patron! Haha
