Bonus: Highland Cow!!
Moooo again!!
Introducing the fuzzy faced Highland Cow Subscriber Bonus!! I couldn't design a Cow without also making the shaggiest of shaggy Cows. I've also been wanting to add a full size design to my Welcome Pack - Bonus files, and this felt like a great option for that. As a Bonus file, all members now and in the future will get this file free with their membership! Bonus files are not released publicly, Members Only!
Check out a quick assembly Demo Video!
The download link for it is in the "Welcome Pack - Bonus Files" section of the Hub post.
I hope you like it!

Udders: Attach to the body using the included Udder Clip
Udder Clip: Insert in between the Body and the Udders

This should generally scale down to about 70-75% with full articulation on a well calibrated printer. Your mileage may vary.

Hi Mat, is there any chance you could pop a Santa hat on the cow please?
Please help, I have attempted 3x's now and the highland cow gets most of the way finished and then messes up. Any advice on settings?
If I don’t join and get this on my printer right now, and my wife ever sees this video or post and if I have it printed it out for her, I’m gonna totally be in the doghouse Now where’s the raccoons? She loves raccoons this cow and a raccoon will be all I need to justify the Patreon.
Would love a mini version!!!
Could we get mini cows please. Both the regular cow and the highland have been requested in mini and keychain.
Will you consider making a Longhorn cow/bull?
I have so much trouble getting the heads on. I feel like I have to use extreme force. Any suggestions? Your demo makes it look so easy. 😩
These always go on pretty easily for me. I wonder if your flow rate is a bit too high, making the walls a little thicker than they should be. Do you calibrate the flow of your filaments at all? That could help. You could also try scaling the head up a tiny bit for an easier snap-fit (I would try something like 101% or 102% as a starting point). If you try that, I would suggest testing it with a single color print rather than a long multicolor print until you get that scale dialed in. If you need more help with this please send me a note at help@matmiremakes.com and mention what filament, printer and slicer you are using.
No clue why but my legs fuse together to the body and I can't rotate the rear hoofs or the front at all without snapping
I would make sure supports are turned off. Also, check for a setting called something like "make overhangs printable" as that can cause all kinds of weird issues. Aside from those settings, it could be hard to say. You can send me pics, as well as info about what printer and settings you are using to help@matmiremakes.com If you can include your gcode export, that could be very helpful too.
it would be handy if the legs were printed separate, that way someone could print more of them in a batch saving on filament waste
Will there be a Spanish bull in your performance? I am looking forward to such a model.
I LOVE IT!!!
The placement of 3mf file is interesting. Is it your intention to use the body as a support mechanism for the head?
It’s just the most compact arrangement. So people with smaller printer, like the A1-Mini, can easily fit it.
This one is really beauty. However, it was unstable and difficult to stand upright. The joints were loose, especially in the main body. I'll reprint it and reduce the size; it might work for me. I printed it on an X1C..
OMG that is TOO cute. As a Scot I am very happy with this make. Might have to print this for our friends who run an animal sanctuary and have two Highland coos.
Not to nitpick- but a suggestion may be to make the highland cows back end a little rounder; smoothing out the prominent Holstein boney hips. Also an optional Licky face with the tongue sticking out or even licking its nose would be fantastic!
Hi can I ask what scale/size is cow number 4?
I want to say it was 75%, if I'm remembering correctly.
This is gorgeous. On the printer now. Thank you so much!
Well, I think there comes a time in every maker's Patreon where there must be a Highland Cow 😅 I think I have 7 different ones now. But yours is my favorite
M(W)ohooooo! I love Hairy Coos 🥰😍 thank you so much!
Yes!!! As a Dutchie, I thought the cow was a fabulous addition. I was quietly rooting for a Highlander though - if anyone can capture that shaggy cuteness, it's you. So YAY!
*screaming* Oh my!!! it's so cute!!!!
Yussssss!!!! Love it. Thank you for this awesomeness!!!!
OMG!! A ABSOLUTE CUTIE
Love it! Awesome! Horse next please!
Yes please do a horses.
I have had so many customers request Highland cows, the absolute cutest, ever!
That's awesome 😎
Oh MY GOD! Yes!!!
