Each of your models is a masterpiece... Could I ask you to make the tail a bit longer (by 3-4 links)? I would even buy the tail separately...)) I repeat, they are magnificent. All the animals.

Salut! Les rats n'ont pas de pouces, seulement 4 doigts. Le modèle a été mis à jour sans les pouces car il est plus précis.
Anyone else having issues with putting the Rat head on the body? We're having to use a heat gun and soften the knob to get it to pop into the body. Hasnt been this difficult to get the head on with any of the other MMM models.
any way to add a chef's hat to this guy?
I just printed it. Amazing ! Little feedback. This time, I dont know why, I could not change eyes colors. Going to objects I could see only 3 parts and the head didnt have eyes separate. So I had to load my AMS with the same order as you created the file to have them black and white. The tail and body were ok, but again I have to put the colors on AMS in a sequence not to change on Bambu Studio as it was not working. (i tried other STL's that worked fine)
Interesting. I'm not totally sure I follow, and maybe I'm misunderstanding. You should be able to select the eye color area in the filaments section of the "prepare" tab and assign any AMS slot to it. You can use that method to swap any of the colors around. BTW, I never leave the eyeballs as separate object parts on my models. They are always merged into the head.
Printed the rat at 70% for my kids and they are now begging for more. 😍
I was a little skeptical of this print at first cause I thought it was super similar to the opossum. But after printing this little guy I realize he really is completely different with his own individual personality. Thanks Mat!

Having issues with the tail coming apart at 80 percent scale.😪
If that happens it's usually due to under-extrusion/low flow. It's basically the same tail/joint design as in many of my other models, so it should print the basically the same. You can email me at help@matmiremakes if you want me to help troubleshoot.

Having issue with this print. It seem there was higher areas that were extruded and then toolhead knock them a few time moving around and on my Bambu P1P the cover fell off and screwed the print at 25% and it hit so much it shifted the PEI Build plate. Using the 3MF file
they are so brittle he tails keep breaking off any updates
Hmm, it's essentially the same tail design that I've been using on many models and I haven't really heard of many issues. When I have, it has usually been extrusion/flow problems. There are a lot of variables that can cause extrusion issues, or strength issues. I guess my advice would be to try it with a different filament to see if that helps, or dial in your flow, temperatures, etc. You can email me pics, and maybe it will give me some insight. help@matmiremakes.com

Just got new FEP sheets, printers been finicky lately🙄😂 hopefully that helps, just in time for this little guy 😁 My cousin loves rats and used to have some so maybe she'll like this since she doesnt have anymore 🤔🙂

As a rat breeder these will be fun. I like putting a 3D snake in my displays at shows sometimes, so 3D rat in a tub in the rat room occasionally to mess with kids will be fun
