⁉️ BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ⁉️

❗❗ THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE DOWNLOADING ❗❗

1. These Boarding Schools are rabbitholes (i.e. your sims will disappear and go off to school)

2. The Boarding Schools currently do not have a Grade System! So your sims cannot fail school at the moment. This will be changed in a future update

3. Before enrolling your students in a boarding school, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be sure to use Triplis Quit School Mod ! If not, students will attempt to try and attend the in game school system.

4. This Module will have updates/changes! I have plenty of plans for the future.

And with that let's get started on how this mod works!

IT'S ALL ON THE APP

Introducing the new School's Out App! Found on your Sims' Computer, there are different options such as doing campus tours, researching schools, apply for scholarships etc. There is a Phone App but this will ONLY be available if your sim currently has a student enrolled.

Teens-Elders can Access this App whenever on the Computer. Tours are only scheduled on certain days!

ENROLLING IN SCHOOL

To get your Students on their way, you'll need to log on to the School Portal and Select "Enroll". Adults will need to enroll Children and Teens can Enroll themselves in.

You'll need to Select the School you want your Student to Attend. (Teens will have a few more options than kids!)

Pick how long you want your Sims to be gone for: A Semester is 15 Sim Days and a Fully "Year" is 30! Don't forget to pay those Tuition Fees!

And Like that you're Student is off to School! They didn't even get a chance to say goodbye...

But don't worry they'll earn a nice little trait to show off their school pride!

While Students are away, their needs will be taken care of and depending on the school they go to, they'll be earning skills as well

UNEROLLING

The Process for Unenrolling a Student is just as simple. Just click on the App (PC or Phone), Select "Unenroll" and your students will be on their way back!

SN: There was a Tiny glitch I'm still working on, I don't know if its a game issue or something with rabbitholes in general but your sims profile may be greyed out like they're gone, even though they're playable. Traveling to another lot fixes the issue it but I'm working on finding a more permanent solution! From testing it still functions as if they're still at home while visiting so Idk it might be a visual thing.

You can unenroll your Students at ANY time!

YOU GET A SCHOLARSHIP! YOU GET A SCHOLARSHIP! YOU GET A SCHOLARSHIP!

Tuition can be EXPENSIVE even in the Sims Economy. Which is why Sims can apply for Scholarships! Like I mentioned before, Teens can apply for scholarships themselves while YA-Elders will need to apply for scholarships on behalf of children. There is a 50/50 chance of getting awarded or rejected for a scholarship. You will be notified if you receive or are rejected! For now there's no cooldown but I may consider this in a future update. Scholarships will really only benefit students if its for a school they plan on attending (Ex: applying for an Athletic Scholarship would work wonders for a Sports School but not for a Nature based school)

Schools & Scholarships List:

1. Nature (Equestrian School and Nature Based School)

2. Sports (Sports Academy)

3. Arts (Art and Dance Schools)

4. Culinary (Teens Only)

5. Business (Teens Only)

6. Science

Scholarship Recipients will get a HUGE discount when attending their school! For now, they'll keep their scholarships until the end of their term/year and will need to reapply for a scholarship every time. They'll also lose any scholarships if they've been unenrolled from a school.

I've also included some fun interactions depending on if a sim was rejected or received a scholarship as well

Want some more information before sending your kids off ? Well you can always request info brochures from each school and they'll give you a notification and even a brief example of what skills are taught!

LIFE AWAY AT SCHOOL

Life still happens while your students are away, both at school and on the Homefront! Every few days your child may call to check in on you just to chat.

Or they make ask you to come visit for Parent's Day

Don't worry if you can't wait to hear back from them, you can check in at any time via the Phone's App. Call or Video chat with them at any time and receive some minor updates and see how they're doing. Sometimes it's good and sometimes...not so good.

ONLY FOR A VISIT

Did I mention that your Students could visit yet? No? Well you can schedule a home visit and bring them home for a few days. They'll temporarily be home to hang out and interact with as normal but after that time is up, they'll be sent back to school.

If you own Seasons, there's a chance that students will call asking if they can come home for the holidays (Winterfest or Harvestfest) and you can choose to let them stay at school or come for a visit.

While your Students are home for a visit, they'll have some special interactions:

Each will come with their own moodlets and if you "Admit Wanting to come Home" you'll get a prompt on bringing them home or letting them stay for a bit longer:

BECAUSE WE CARE

Want to send something to your student so they don't miss home too much? Send them something for instant delivery! Sims can send gifts from toys to books to photos to hand crafted work even food! (hope it doesn't spoil)

BIRTHDAY WISHES & GRADUATION

I'll admit this one was a tough one because I wanted to cater to the simmers who play with aging on and for those who play with aging off. I'm hoping to find a better balance for those who want to play with aging off in the future but for now while youre students are away, they'll continue to age until their birthday! For Kids, they'll age up into Teens and will need to be enrolled again (yes including those tuition fees, looking into better alternative but this was just simpler for now). As for Teens who are approaching their birthday, they won't only age up but they'll get to Graduate!

If you own Highschool Years, you'll get a random popup for graduation (Valedictorian, Graduating Early etc.)

Regardless, Students will get a popup notification sort of prewarning you that they're about to age up or when its their birthday so it will kick them out before they actually age up!

STUDY BUDDIES

Initially, this was meant to be a standalone but It grew quickly overnight to be something more so now we have something new: Study Buddies

Sims enrolled in Gradeschool or Highschool can ask their peers if they'd to become study buddies. You'll get a notification and a new relationship type:

Study Buddies will help make homework and school projects done at a faster rate and speaking of homework. Sims can now do homework together. Just click on a homework book and select who you want to work with:

Everyone does homework near each other and if study buddies are close by you get an extra boost while doing homework:

Sims doing homework together will gain friendship as well.

STORY TIME

As Always on my journey into adding social interactions with my mods, I've created some social interactions that are exclusive to parents/caregivers and some for sims who go to school. Not going to list all of them but some will offer moodlets, responses, prompts and even sentiments:
