WORLD TOUR 3 {EARLY ACCESS} 🎼

Are you ready for the Third Act?

Hey Guys! Welcome to WORLD TOUR 3! You're probably wondering how we got here so allow me to briefly explain as best as I can. I've recently made the decision to work more on my CORE/Modular Mods (i.e. World Tour, Growing Pains, Ever After etc.) throughout the year vs waiting for updates months in between! Alright you all came to see the show so let's get into what's going on in WORLD TOUR 3!

ARTISTS...LETS ROLLOUT

Probably my favorite part of this new update is Rollouts. Artists who submit their albums like normal will now be given a new prompt. You have the choice of either going through Rollout or going with the Distribution Deal. The Distribution Deal will work similarly to how the original payment works except instead of a lump sum of money, your sims will get their money over the course of a week in smaller amounts.

Rollouts will give you the opportunity to earn even MORE money than before! Through different interactions found on the phone/pc/social interactions, Sims will earn a hidden point system called Promo Points. These points will go into the calculations of the base amount that comes with a rollout.

(Ex: I had a sim do a rollout vs the normal deal. The original route gave my sims roughly 26,000. Doing the Rollout they earned nearly 80,000! )

Rollouts are indefinite so you're in control of just how short or how long the promotional campaign is! Sims doing a Rollout can even check in with the fans and get mixed reactions on how they feel about it

Most of the things can be found under the Album Rollout section in the World Tour App or on the PC.

A NEW SOCIAL EVENT

In theme with the Rollouts, Sims can also throw an Album Release Party!

There are some new social interactions only available during this event type. This is a great way to earn more points outside of the normal route. Build up the hype for your upcoming project and get feedback or praise!

You can even invite SMZ Media Press to your event! (Don't forget to Pose for the Cameras) and yes you can pose for the press and get some notifications on the side:

TIME TO CALL A PROFESSIONAL

Artists are busy busy busy people and sometimes, they need a little help with keeping their image online and in the media up to their standards. Thankfully with this update, Sims can actually hire their own publicist!

Publicists will come with their own services to help you out....IF they're good at their jobs that is. If things go well, Sims can expect an increase in fame, reputation, fans and music streams. The same can't be said if things go left. Regardless, you'll get a moodlet that will let you know what's going on.

And if you're REALLY in a bind, they can even help you if you're on a Level 1 or Level 2 Probation!

WHATS THE APPEAL?

If you ever wonder what it would be like if the Era Traits and the Group Appeals would look like coming together for a collab, then allow me to introduce: Artist Appeal!

Artist Appeal focuses on the individual artist vs the group if you have the band's module. Click on a Sim and use the "Unlock Artist Appeal". (Completely optional btw)

They'll get a notification and a new trait which can change over time! There are currently 5 Levels of an Artist's Appeal:

~Shelved Artist

~Unknown Artist

~Growing Artist

~Breakout Artist

~Legendary Artist

Like the Group Appeals, good and bad choices can affect just how easily your sims can raise or lower their appeal status. This is for storytelling at the moment but let's just say future plans will determine a lot of things your artists can and cannot do!

HIGH TIME FOR A HIATUS

If you're feeling burnt out (as we all do) your Sims can take a little or long break from the life of being a touring musician! Under the World Tour App, have your sims announce their hiatus at any time:

They wont be able to perform or go on tour or make any music (like I said its a break break). The good news is they wont get let go if they're signed to a record label nor will they lose their artist appeal. Sims can return to the industry whenever they'd like!

VIRTUOSOLY VIRAL

Independent Artists who upload their music to their respective music streaming platforms can now have a chance at being recruited by one of the three record labels! Going Viral is a rare occurrence but not impossible! Sims who have gone viral after a music upload may get contacted by a talent scout and you'll have the option to take the deal or refuse and stay independent

There's also a chance that if you own Get Famous, you'll be nominated for a Starlight Accolade Award!

ARE WE STILL STREAMING?

I've always wanted to do this with World Tour when it first came out but it never made sense on how I wanted it done until now. This is more for those who are not independent nor a signed artist but wish to remain in the songwriting sphere, music streams are now profitable!

Whenever you want to cash out your streams (which is typically earned through uploads on music platforms or concerts) just check the World Tour App and select cash out. There is a cooldown and once you've cashed out, your sims music streams number resets to 0!
